Evan's feet froze slightly as his ears perked up and his eyes stared at the stairs ahead.

"Christel?" He called out and right at that moment the sound that came off the stairs ceased.

"She must be home," He sighed lightly and took out his phone as he felt a buzz from it earlier.

Claus sent.

"Hmm," Evan gazed at the number that was sent along with the message and frowned slightly.

"Always meeting," He muttered and shoved the phone back into his pocket. He stared at the stairs in front of him and glanced at the house one last time.

'Maybe it is because I haven't been here for long. It's probably the reason this feeling of ' vacant ' came into my mind, that was why I mistook the silence of no one being around,' He thought.

"At least she should have closed the door," He sighed as he started to make his way to the door but right at that moment the sound of rushed footsteps sounded from the stairs.
