2022-09-05 02:53:21The whistling of the kettle jerked him back to reality as he wipe his face with his palm, the garbages had stick to his face and making it more itchy. Once he was done preparing his noodles, he dashed into the bathroom to take a shower when suddenly his tub which he had filled with water dried up. He turned on the valve and beat the hand shower in his hands but water wasn't coming out, he already had a towel tied around his waist and needed to bath urgently. Quickly he picked a bucket to get water at his balcony, but a screamed got him frighten that he got mute to the spot he stood. Just immediately, someone was knocking on his door and it got him more petrified. Sluggish, he put on his clothes and paced to the door, peeped through it hole and got it opened. His eyes widen with disbelief as he could see pool of blood along his corridors neither could he see anyone. It drool from two doors away from his and he intended to take a look at what was going on, perhaps this being might need help.
"Hello?" He asked shivering while staying cautious of the place but something made him run back inside his house. He could see a larva which was gigantic crawling out of the room. It was horrifying and covered in blood as its tip had thorns. Ethan ran back to his room, locked his door multiple times and quickly dialed the security agents number for help, his ears could hear water gushing out of the bathroom, the water was running now.
"Hello?" He said once again with a shaky voice, However, it wasn't connecting. He threw his phone to the ground and rushed into the bathroom. Trying to convince himself it was just hallucinations wasn't helping because it looked so real, he inhaled and took the shower needed though his eyes had thought of the scene he saw earlier.
GROUND FLOOR.
A firefighter who wore a bunker gear glanced at the building of where she stood, sweating and panting while she quickly rushed inside. The occupants made noise as they were suddenly trapped inside their building no way out. It happened a few hours before this firefighter arrived, they were caught unaware by this sudden lockage as it seems the occupants were kept hostage in their own apartment, and the questions begging for answers was; "what is going on?"
"What's going on mrs Choi?" Rodger asked as he was so frustrated that he wasn't going to see his Precious barn. He had just gotten down from his room and found some persons who seemed late for work and school lined up at the exit gate leading outside.
"I've got no idea, they just locked us up with no explanations!" She snapped as her dog fondle its tale around her leg. A young man who had a bag pushed his way through the gathered being to meet with this firefighter who was holding an extinguisher.
"What's the meaning of this? There's no fire incident here" he said glancing at the gate as they couldn't see anything outside.
"I came to survey the area, but something werid is going on out there" she responded pulling down her helmet and suddenly a girl laughed. They called her the crazy bitch here as she wasn't scared of the elders and spoke rude words.
"Seriously, you're insane! Let me through!" She yelled rushing towards the gates and banging it to open.
"Jessica!" The young man called pulling her hands from the rods and she pushed him aside.
"Stay out of this! My dreams are outside this walls!" She barked. Meanwhile two men had gone to the engine rooms where the levers for each gates were, it was also like a power house. They searched for the lever that could be pulled to get the gates opened.
"I found it ken!" The latter yelled to the former who looked confused as everything over her got him puzzled.
"I'm bad at engineering!" The former snapped chuckling as he hurried up to connect the switches while reversing so many levers.
"Hurray! Here we come beach!" They chorused giving each other high-five. Although they were surprised why the securities weren't inside as they were busy preventing people from stepping outside. The two men stormed outside as everyone could see the gate rolling up, no one was ready to take the first step out as they could see everywhere outside covered with smoke, they were all a distance away from the gates except Jessica and this young man along with the firefighter who an inch away from these two. The young man who still hold on to Jessica narrowed his eyes at a figure which had now appeared out in the smoke. It looked abnormal and dressed in a pyjamas striding inside the building.
"Move!" Rodger beckoned on those obstructing his view as he wasn't concerned about what was going on but desired to see how his barn was faring. The firefighter suddenly goad the extinguisher and barked for everyone to step back even though the few people were reluctant to her orders. It was happening all fast as anxious eyes stared waiting to have a clearer picture of who this man was that kept them in suspense with the way he moved.
"Wow, this man sure is tall" Mrs Choi admired as her dog began to bark wildly and she quelled it down. Jessica pushed this young man who held her hand and hasten up to leave when suddenly this strange man opened his mouth and everyone screamed running for safety. His jaw had dropped and was stained with blood as his tongue looked like a larva haunting for prey. Jessica couldn't move out of shock as this beast was right before her. This young man was clever to push her to the ground just to avoid being hit by this beast tongue.
"Lock the gates!!" The firefighter barked but the two men were terrified to even move. The beast walked slowly towards them while strolling it's tongue to get a hold of prey, it almost got a hold of Jessica and this young man who were below him an inches away but it suddenly stepped back as it was being sprayed by propellant from the extinguisher.
"Lock the gates!!!" She ordered again and Ollie who was hiding behind the pillars rushed to do just that even though he was scared, he had to summon the courage to lock back those gates before more werid monsters storm in.
