Chapter 41. More trouble

Duncan could not believe what his foolishness had cost him. His father had to borrow a huge amount of money from the bank just to bail him out. Even if Mr Taylor yells down the building scolding him, the deed has already been done. They were now bankrupt and couldn't even afford to pay their workers. Worst was that no contracts were coming and soon their employees would start quitting one after the other. Their house was the only thing used as collateral and soon, the bank would be on their neck for their money.

After having a cold bath, Duncan stayed in his room the whole time. All efforts to get him to come out of his room proved abortive. It was later at night that he drove off to a bar to calm his nerves.
