Episode 43 Unraveling the Conspiracy

Ruth opened and closed her mouth, but she simply did not have anything to say. "So it turns out your new boss is involved," Alex said, looking at the man on the ground. "I wonder what his motive is, why does he want to kill us?Ruth opened And who else is involved in this?" he continued, but Ruth remained quiet with her eyes closed.

Rogers had once been a close friend of Ruth's and, at the same time, her caring boss. Jealousy had consumed him, driving him to seek revenge and destroy everything Ruth held dear.

With Rogers captured and the truth finally revealed, Ruth and Alex could finally breathe a sigh of relief. They had overcome the danger that had threatened to tear them apart, emerging stronger than ever.

But as they stood there, surrounded by the aftermath of their battle, they knew that their journey was far from over. There were still unanswered questions, loose ends that needed to be tied up.

And so, with a renewed sense of purpose, Ruth and Alex vowed to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy that had targeted them. They would stop at nothing to bring those responsible to justice and protect their loved ones from any further harm.

Little did they know, their quest for the truth would take them down a path filled with danger, betrayal, and unexpected alliances. The forest was just the beginning, and the real battle had only just begun.

"we imprisoned Rogers in the dungeon under Ruth's mansion at Paradise Village but we need to know who else is involved in this," Alex said, his voice filled with determination.

Ruth, Alex, and the general, a dungeon keeper, walked out of the cell. "Make sure he says something. If he lies, I'm going to kill him," Ruth informed the general.

Ruth stopped in her tracks and looked at the general. "Do you know this man?" she showed him a picture on her phone. Adjusting his glasses, he nodded. "His name is Donord. I knew him from Katete before he moved abroad," he said. "Can you tell us more, General?" Alex showed interest, and they went and sat.

Flashback:

"Donald, Jacob, and James were friends," the general began. "These three men liked each other a lot. They were liked by many in school to they remained friends until James found Ireen, a woman he fell in love with. Time went by, and something happened. Donald and Ireen started cheating on James. James found them in Donald's room one day. The two thought James had gone to school, but he came back early and found his girlfriend and best friend having sex."

Donald apologized, but their friendship was never the same again. After some time, James found Jane, and Jacob found Jessica. They both had wedding and married at the same time they moved from Katete town to Chipata in the Eastern Province of Zambia. "So, you mean my father and Alex's father were friends?" Ruth asked.

"Yes, I found that out when I was investigating who killed your father and Alex's father," the general answered. "Where was Donald at that time?" Alex asked. "Donald was not in Zambia at that time. He was abroad, and his wife was killed there too, so I don't have much info on them."

"Do you think he had a child with his wife? If yes, who was his wife?" Alex asked. "I heard he had a son, but I never saw him. I think he disappeared around the time his mother died," the general answered.

End of flashback.

Alex was crying. He could remember his parents well because they died when he was seven years old. "We need to find out more about Donald," he suggested. "I think James my boyfriend is Donald's son, the one I have been looking for all this years," Ruth said, looking at the picture. "Why do you think so?" the general asked. "Because I found the picture in James's room and he looked like him ," but it had that red close on it. Do you think Alex wants to kill his father because he thinks he killed his mother?" the general asked again.

"I can't tell for sure, but if that's the case I can't tell the Boss yat." Ruth answered. "We need to dig deeper into this," Alex said, wiping his tears. Ruth hugged him, showing sympathy.

On the other side of town, Jemima sat in a dimly lit room, her eyes fixed on James. Her mind was filled with a whirlwind of thoughts, blaming herself for Ruth's presence at the bar. She despised Ruth even more now, convinced that she was always ruining her plans. "I need to give her something big," Jemima muttered to herself, determined to exact revenge.

Suddenly, a voice from behind startled her. Slowly turning around, she saw the man she had met at her brother's grave. Memories of that fateful day flooded her mind, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. "If only you would allow me, boss, I can kill Ruth the way she killed my brother, Jordan," she said, her eyes filled with vengeance.

Jemima's heart raced at the mention of her brother's name. "No, you foolish girl," the man snapped. "I told you, you can't kill Ruth just like that. I made her a perfect weapon; she is the greatest assassin what can you do?."

Curiosity piqued, Jemima couldn't help but ask, "Did you train Ruth?" The man's sinister smile sent a chill down her spine. "Yes, and shut up! All we wanted was to find a weakness in her, and that Alex she calls a brother is her weakness. We are going to bring her down," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

As Jemima listened to the man's words, a mixture of fear and determination coursed through her veins. She had always been a woman of action ever since she became a police officer, and her brother was the one to limit her but now he is dead.

The next morning, Ruth mustered up the courage to visit James. She nervously approached his door and knocked, her heart pounding in her chest. To her surprise, James opened the door almost immediately, a warm smile spreading across his face.

As they sat together on the couch, it felt like a perfect day for the two of them. James couldn't help but express his love for Ruth, his touch gentle and affectionate. It had been a year since they started their relationship, and they had never been intimate. The anticipation and desire between them were palpable.

Their lips met in a passionate kiss, igniting a fire within them. James, unable to resist any longer, slipped his hand under Ruth's blouse, intensifying the moment. However, as their passion grew, Ruth's mind wandered back to a haunting memory from nine years ago.

Little Miss Ruth, come to the center, or say your goodbyes to your mama and dada," Jordan's voice echoed in Ruth's mind. She had been just a child then, innocent and naive. Ruth walked silently, her heart heavy with fear and confusion. She was forced to undress, her mother's desperate pleas falling on deaf ears.

Mrs. Banda cried out, begging Jordan not to subject her baby to such cruelty. She reminded him of how he had cared for Ruth like a sister. But Ruth, in her innocence, obeyed the orders given to her. She stood there, completely naked, vulnerable to the six men who violated her.

Closing her eyes, Ruth relived the nightmare, the pain and terror resurfacing. She screamed at the top of her voice, her cries echoing through the room. When she opened her eyes, she found James on the floor, clutching his side. In her anguish, she had kicked him, her mind clouded by the memories of her past.

James looked at Ruth with a mixture of concern and pity. He had never seen her like this before, and he knew something terrible had happened to her in the past. Gently, he reached out to her, his voice filled with compassion.

"What happened to you, Ruth? What demons haunt your past?" James asked, his eyes searching for answers.

Ruth opened her mouth but nothing come out only tears come out.

"I..... " Ruth started when her phone rung it was the number save Dady so she excused her self and pick the call, she listened to him until the call was cut short, she looked at James and asked him a question "who are your parents James?" James was startled by the question ever since he was 13 years old no one has asked him about his family. "I need you to be honest James this is serious that's why I come here in the first place, I will tell you all about me but not today I want your story," Ruth said looking serious that even James was scared by her look.

James wonder if he should tell her about his dark childhood or not.
