Lan paced anxiously in the living room, waiting for her mother to return. After her meeting with Tiara that night, she couldn't help but see some elements of truth in her accusations.

The house was eerily quiet, amplifying the tension that hung in the air. She had spent the entire evening wrestling with her thoughts, the revelation about her mother’s possible relationship with Jack Brynner gnawing at her.

Her moon seemed to be going out very often and she knew quite well that she was going out on dates. Afterall, her mom was still young and beautiful, so it wasn't a surprise to her that men will still be chasing after her but the thought of her going out with Jack Brynner really didn't sit well with her.

She had never really liked Jack as a person. She always saw him as a dishonest person who was only after his own selfish interests.

His companies were always the target for one crime or the other and for one reason or the other, he always manages to get away with all the accusations.
