Tiara sat tensely in the back seat of the sleek black car, her heart pounding in her chest as Mr. Brynner's men kept chasing after her. Jack Brynner had been after her since the day she threatened him with evidence of the murder cases he was involved in.

George and his men were bent on catching her and retrieving the evidence from her. They've been on her trail for months and now have her almost at her grip.

Tiara's eyes darted anxiously to the rearview mirror, where the headlights of the group of cars were gaining on them. "Drive faster!" she urged the driver, her voice trembling with urgency. "We can't let them catch us."

The driver nodded, his grip tightening on the steering wheel as he pressed harder on the accelerator. The car surged forward, weaving through the traffic with a precision that only heightened the tension. The pursuing cars matched their speed, relentless in their chase.

As they sped through narrow streets and sharp turns, the roar of engines and screeching tires fi

Lan's voice rose angrily.Tiara's eyes were wide with fear, darting around the garage, fearing that George and his men had followed them. "I'm really sorry," she replied, but we can't stay here. We really need to go now." She said, her voice tinged with urgency."What have you done that has made those guys come after you?" Lan pressed further, demanding an answer from her."I'll explain everything later, but for now, we really need to leave. Jack was ready to introduce him to the rest of the team and to make them acquainted with his role in his plan to rewrite history and make a name for himself. His dragonic powers have fully been activated after staying dormant for five years. Jack's upscale technological devices had helped in charging him up and granting him dragonic force 100. It was the highest level of dragonic power activation and with that, Winter would be unstoppable."Ladies and gentlemen, this is Winter Lee," Jack said, introducing him to the rest of the team members. "He's a major part of this plan and he'll be leading the launch. Every one of our army of dragonic creatures was built from his DNA. He leads the attack and we take over the city."There was a brief applause from the few people who were present. Xin had not yet arrived, having been held back by traffic. Serpens waited all day for Xin to arrive from work until night fell upon him. He knew it was unlike Xin to want to work overtime time at work and not inform him. He decided to put a call through to her and find out from her if she was still coming home that night or would stay till the following morning.Everything they needed to leave was already in place and all that was left was the SFX-chip which was the reason Xin had gone for work that morning."Hello," the voice at the other end replied. It wasn't Xin's voice, and that got Serpens really worried."Can I speak with Xin please?" Serpens requested politely, until the voice at the other end became more recognisable to him. It was the voice of his nemesis, Winter."Nice to hear from you again, Serpens." Winter laughed."Winter!" Serpens exclaimed, as the realization dawned upon him that Xin was in trouble."What happened to Xin? What did you do to her?" Serpens asked all in one breath."Hahahaha" Winter continued to laugh. Serpens struggled to his feet, his heart pounding with fear and frustration. Winter was too strong, even with the combined might of the dragon lords. They couldn’t overpower him—not like this. But what frightened him more was the sight of Xin, now standing on the rock, her hand trembling as she raised the dragon stone toward the point where the sunlight met the sea."No!" Serpens cried out, his voice breaking with the weight of his despair. But his words fell on deaf ears. Xin, lost in Winter’s spell, placed the stone on the rock. The moment the stone touched the surface, the sunlight intensified, its beams converging on the stone and then spreading outwards, enveloping Bahamut in a blinding light. The light was quickly swallowed by a sudden darkness, a pitch-black void that seemed to emanate from Bahamut himself. As he buttoned his shirt, his mind kept drifting back to the urgency of his quest, the need to find Xin and the draconic gem. After pulling on his trousers and fastening his belt, Serpens moved to the bathroom. He splashed cold water on his face, the chill waking him up fully. He stared at his reflection in the mirror—his dark hair tousled from sleep, his eyes sharp and alert despite the fatigue that lingered at their edges. With deliberate care, he combed his hair, making sure every strand was in place, trying to impose order on at least this small part of his life.He grabbed his school bag, checking to make sure he had everything he needed: books, notebooks, the pendant that Professor Layton had given him back then, was still there—a small token that served as a reminder of his mission. Before leaving his room, Serpens took a moment to gaze out of the wind
