Eighty-two: First day at school

"Why does my own school feel so unfamiliar?"

There were a lot of things that had changed which fascinated Ivan. As he walked down the used to be familiar path that led to his school, he noticed a few things like some new shops and buildings.

He stopped and stared at the building that was once a café that served one of the best coffee. It was now a bookstore and nothing more.

He wondered if it was owned by the same person or if a different person entirely had bought the building.

He continued down the path and decided to take the usual shorter route he used when he felt like being alone with his thoughts.

The place was usually quite dark and silent. The peace and quiet the place provided was never seen in another route.

The lights were always flickering or never working at all.

As he stepped his feet into the beginning of the route, he couldn't believe what his eyes met with.
