Fifty-two: Twisted case

The wailing of sirens filled the streets as officer Redd hurried down to the hospital in his official vehicle. He had put on his siren to alert the other drivers that it was an emergency and even if he didn't wait for the traffic light to turn green, his other colleagues warding the streets would understand.

He arrived at the hospital and hurried to meet the doctor who was already attending to the patient that had just woken up.

"Doctor..." He called out as he panted.

"Officer Redd! Are you alright?" The doctor asked as he went to meet him.

He placed his hand on his shoulder and handed him a bottle of water from a nearby cart in the room.

Officer Redd accepted it and drank a little from its portion. "My man." He smiled as he stared at the patient that was already sitting down on the bed.

"Did you rush here because of him?" The doctor's eyes widened. "You shouldn't have rushed to get here, he is not going anywhere you know."

"I know, I just missed him so much. We have a lot to talk
