Their lecturer announced to the students as they all packed up their books and laptops and other equipment.

Ivan took out his phone from his pocket and clicked on messages. Fishing out Vienna's name, he clicked on it and started typing. "Hey, are you busy at work? Can we meet up? I'd like to know if you're free to talk."

As he sent the text, he made to return the phone to his pocket but it chimed and he immediately raised it back to his face.

"Just got out of surgery, I could use a break. Let's meet up at the burger place close to the hospital if it's fine with you."

A smile worked its way to his lips as he texted her back. "I'll be there in thirty minutes tops, see you in a bit."

He tucked his phone back into his pocket and rose to his feet but a hand pushed him back to his seat force
