A ray of sunlight crept in through a corner of the gigantic window where the blinds didn't quite get to and directly unto Vienna's face, causing her to grunt and turn around on the bed.

As her hand laid on the other side, she realized the large bed was carrying no one else but her. Still with her eyes closed, she stretched her hand forward a little, maybe he was lying just at the edge of the bed, she told herself.

But there was no one there. She finally lifted her eyelids and on realizing there was no one there for real, she heaved her sigh as she sluggishly raised her body to a sitting position like a zombie that had just gotten infected.

A lazy yawn left her mouth as she stretched out her hands. She wasn't feeling as energetic as she hoped she would be.

Finding a good night's rest was harder than finding gold in the river. She had tossed and turned all night on the bed, letting out angry groans at most intervals.

Meanwhile, Ivan slept like a baby in his mother's arms. Maybe it
