We can't let that happen, we can't let them turn Thomas into an abomination if not we will never leave this place. Silas said. He immediately recalled the words of Zack, how he said that if Thomas was going to fulfill his destiny as the last runner he would have a role to play in protecting him.

Silas took this as one of the various moments to do that.

"We have to stop them, Silas, we have to," Elise said as she turned towards the window. It was already dark and in a few minutes the moon was going to be up. Noise could already be heard from the entire academy as they were all heading outside the palace province to witness the ritual.

"What did they say must be engaged for the ritual to take the right course?" Silas interrupted Elise gazed as she sprinted her gaze back to him. Her countenance was all worn out and her eyes full of worry.

"That is the problem Silas, I have no clue but I am sure we might find some information among the books Kelvin was reading," She answered.
