Chapter one hundred and fourteen: illusion
There was nothing more to say than to act. In the next few seconds Elvis was going to take a dangerous risk, one which will cost him his life if it turns out they were wrong.

Danny's facial expression seemed like he was sure about what he was doing but deep down in his core he was afraid. He prayed he was not wrong, he prayed it all worked out just like the wood did.

Danny reached his hand out to Elvis as he took hold of it and after a long draw of breath they walked towards the shield.

"I don't want to die, please… I don't want to die," Elvis kept reciting those words to himself and when they were about three feet close to the shield he shut his eyes tight. He never stopped repeating the words until he tapped on the shoulder, followed by loud screams of excitement.

He opened his eyes to meet the bright smile on Danny's face.

"We made it, I told you that you will be fine, didn't I?" Danny said.
