Chapter one hundred and sixty four: The selection: part two

“They made it. They sealed the fourth dimension,” Gaius muttered. They heard loud screams from the alien creatures. It was the cry of retreat. The aliens refrained from any further attack as they left the kingdom through the portal.

The environment could no longer be recognized. The green trees were rooted down due to the battle, the mountains and rocks were blasted open. The energy erupted by the powers of the runners and all their attempts to defend themselves and their territory turned the entire land to a wasted one.

It was the true definition of an apocalyptic war, something that earth could not survive if it were unleashed there. While everyone’s eyes were fixed on the clouds the bright light began to appear in the palms of many of them. Each one that was selected for a race left the dimension immediately because they knew what they were supposed to do.
