Chapter one hundred and sixty two: Tangled in danger; the countdown
“What do we do?” Thomas said, still watching the pulpit while Silas pressed his lips together in deep contemplation. While they were thinking of how to get past the aliens Thomas spotted Ben walk inside and without hesitation he pulled him behind the counter.

“Shh,” he silenced him when he was about to yell.

“What are you doing here?” Silas whispered with a frown on his face. Ben explained the situation to them and for a while they were stunned but disagreed to abort their initial plan.

“I am not going to leave you here to die. The fact that I am the last runner doesn’t make me more important than any of you,”

“This is not about who is more important, Thomas,” Ben said with an earnest gaze. “We are speaking about the fate of the world and I am a shape-shifter. It will be a lot easier for me to leave this place if I am alone so for the first time listen to me. Danny’s life is at stake and every moment we waste here worsens the case,”

“He is right Thomas, we have to go,” Silas said.
