When Silas and Elise arrived outside they saw Thomas standing beside a large dog with many runners which surrounded them. The dog's eyes were full of hate as its teeth displayed aggressively.

"Oh no, we have to stop them before things get out of hand," Silas whispered.

"We have seen this dog before, It was the same one that helped us make it through the desert filled with giant snakes," Elise said.

"Yes, I recognise him but why Is it looking more large and dreadful than before?" Silas said.

Still witnessing the scene Kelvin and David showed up with swift instruction that the runners should stand down.

They had just discovered the reason the mark appeared, so Kelvin offered to explain everything to Caleb as long as they refrained from attacking the dog.

Caleb agreed to his plea as he carried Kelvin apart and Kelvin narrated everything to him, including how the dog had saved them from both giant snakes and a forest lion. He also told him about the mark which appeared on Thomas’s body as
