Chapter two : Admitted into an Academy

"Come with me?" Elise said as she ran off and Thomas followed her with his foot sinking in and out of the deep sand. While running forward Elise took out a small sceptre as she circled it in the air and a portal was opened as she and Thomas ran in.

Thomas' eyes were widened, while he ran through different portals, first was mountain, second was cliff, third was a forest, and lastly was a strange looking city.

It was mystical with different strange colours, machines and individuals; flying trains, riding planes, Flying horses and even human ferries. Everything was a total opposite to how it should be.

"Thomas!" Elise interrupted his thought as he turned to see her hands stretched out through another portal. "Come on,"

Thomas took hold of her hand and she pulled him in as the Portal closed and they both fell on the floor in the woods.

"What were you thinking you could have been stuck there," Elise said immediately after they stood on their feet but Thomas ignored her as he looked forward only to see a large brown gate with a big write up on it.

ARENDELLE'S BRIDGE THE LAST ACADEMY OF MAGIC.

"Okay, i have no magic so i don't think i should be here, all i want now is to return home," he turned to his side but she wasn't there so he drifted his gaze forward again only to see the gate wide open and Elise running as fast as she could towards a large building within the gate

"Just what i thought," He soliloquized to himself then followed her.

The environment was large as it was covered with carpet grasses, and on either sides of the gate were two watchtowers and before the seven story building which was equivalent to a large cathedral were another two watchtowers.

The environment setting gave Thomas a bad impression even while he ran twenty five steps up the stairs to get to the large glass entrance door and when he got to the doorpost, the glass door opened up to a large hall with many people.

"Where is she?" He muttered as he drifted his gaze around only to spot Elise in the press and he followed her forward as they made it to a long horizontal table on which were numerous red buttons.

Being a novice in a strange city all he could do was imitate her moves, so when she pressed one of the red buttons he also did then turned right to meet Elise's angry stare as he could do nothing but wonder why her countenance changed all of a sudden.

"You almost got me killed today, Just be thankful that i intervened earlier if not you would have been dead, but from now henceforth you are alone, i don't want to see you anywhere close to me," Elise said abruptly.

"Wha…"

"Shush!" she blinked, stopping him with her right hand in the air. "Do you understand?"

For a moment Thomas couldn't recognise if it was the same young lady who saved him, or he was standing before a different person.

"Okay, I understand,"

"Good!" Elise said as she rolled her eyes then walked past him.

Thomas watched her cue up in the front role as she folded her hands. 'Wow! i didn't know that there are people as rude as my elder sister,' he thought to himself and while staring at her a man walked out of a door by the left as he made his way before them.

"Good day everyone," The man greeted

Thomas turned as he stared at the man who looked like he was in his fifties, also dressed in a black suit with one side of his eyes covered and Thomas could come up with no other reason than that the eye was damaged.

"Congratulations for passing the test however you are all welcome to the academy and soon each of you will be interviewed and will be taken to your various classes where you will continue with your training on how to master your powers,"

"Of what use are powers in an endless game where we are killed like a bunch of animals. The only use of these powers is to bring more death!" a young man exclaimed from the crowd as everyone began to murmur.

"Settle down people," the man exclaimed as they all listened to hear him out. "The essence of your powers is not to bring death rather its to get you equipped for the Apocalypse which is coming, and as for the games, everyone must play until the prepared time comes,"

"How long will we continue in this academy of madness! Is it until we all die?" a young lady in front screamed angrily as the man took out a gun then shot her in the head and her lifeless body dropped to the floor.

The place became cold while Thomas stared at the lady's dead body in shock as he watched some people in yellow walk in, then dragged her out of the hall.

"I hope this passes a message to you all, never to insult the Academy again. Keep your private matters to yourself," said the man then turned towards a door by the right. "You will all go in through that door at tens, someone is there to interview you and put you in your various classes. no form of disobedience is allowed,"

"This is getting more scary than I thought," Thomas mumbled as he joined the line of people who were making their way into the next hall.

When it got to his turn to be interviewed he walked in with nine others as the door closed automatically. He looked forward at a small and round platform directly opposite the door as he saw three men and two women standing around the platform.

They were all in different uniforms. Blue, White, green, Red and yellow respectively and standing on the podium was another man dressed In suit.

"Can I have the first person on stage?" the man who was standing on the platform said as one of the people walked up to him. "Name your specialty,"

"Fire," he replied.

"Okay, we will like to see you make a ball of fire," said the man as he walked down the platform.

Thomas watched closely to see what the young man was about to do as he noticed him producing fire sparks from his hands which grew larger into a round ball and he tossed the ball impressively before them.

"That is enough!" the man in suit said as the student stopped and the man pointed at a door towards the left. "That's where you belong,"

Thomas watched the student walk down the platform as he left towards the door.

"You there," Thomas turned to see him pointing at him. "Come up,"

Thomas looked right and left at the remaining eight people then walked up to meet the man on the platform.

"Name your specialty," the man said with an instantaneous stare at him.

"I'm sorry but I think I shouldn't be here,"

"State your specialty," he repeated again.

Thomas studied the man's serious countenance. "I don't have a specialty,"

"I won't repeat myself the third time,"

"Come on! Are you even listening to me? I said I don't have a specialty…" Before he could complete his statement two huge men from nowhere walked up to him as they dragged him down the platform.

"Let me go!" he struggled to set himself free and in the process one of them knocked him out.

'Wake up Thomas we need you, wake up!'
