Tough call

The two ladies stared at each other for quite a while, their brows farrowing the deeper that they stared.

"I know that this isn't my section, Aurora but I had to act. Did you expect me to allow a thug go around the place when you were being just too lazy to act?" She inquired with a deeper stare.

Lut could already see that Aurora's hands were clenched into a clean ball, trying as hard as she could to control the anger that was gradually rising up in her..

"I was busy with the report. Do you realize how professional your work is? What if he is a real customer? Do you know how furious the director would be?

You know that no one came in here without their access card. There are motion sensors all around and you know it. If he has anything on him, he is going to be caught immediately." She replied.

Lut could tell that even though she was trying her best to act as calm as she could, the anger was still rising up in the inside of her, making her want to blow up.

But the other lady called Tina wasn't one that was going to listen to her, even for a single moment as she eventually went further to say.

"He gained access to this place. Just take a good look at him. He is looking so plain that I highly doubt that he will be able to feed himself." She replied..

For a split second, there was a sudden pause. And there was no speech from Aurora, she only started. And when she eventually spoke, the words that proceeded from her were sounding more like whispers.

"So this is what this is about? The fact that he isn't looking his best makes you feel that you will be able to do anything that you want?" She glared.

She walked towards her until they could both feel each other's breath.

"You know that this is more than that. I have been in the same position with you for so long and it's high time for you to be under my feet." She replied.

There was a strange stare in her eyes for quite a while. She knew that talking to someone like Tina wasn't going to do her any good so she rather turned around in another direction towards the guards and muttered before he turned around back towards the stranger and said.

"You know that you cannot gain access to this place right? So why don't you present the card and end this already?" She inquired with a little tint of frustration in her voice as she spoke.

Lut could feel his anger gradually creeping through the outlines of his spine.

"I already told them that I am here with Director Edward." Was the reply that he gave.

And once again, everyone in the room burst out into laughter almost in an instant.

Director Edward was one of the co-founders of the place and thus, everyone there knew him even though the running of the place was placed in the hands of someone else.

"Just take a good look at yourself. Do you even believe the words that you just spoke?" One of the guards muttered.

"Do you even feel that you have the right to be standing before someone like Director Edward?" Another one of them said..

A small crowd of people were steadily walking in and stopped to watch what was eventually happening in the place as they continued to stare at him more like a mad man.

"I know a lot of people that tell lies but this is the worst I have ever seen."

"Director Edward stopped so low to even get to talk to someone like him. That's something that I can't even imagine in my longest lifetime." Another word stripped into his ears.

Lut frowned as he stared at the beautiful lady that was standing before him with her face filled with so much frustration as he went ahead to say.

"I am not lying? You can contact him if you feel that I am."

"It looks like you don't know how much a phone bill costs." Tina replied while the other was trying to keep her professionalism.

For split moments, she was trying to believe that the young man was telling the truth but that was until they said these words.

Now she didn't even realize what she was going to do at the moment. Her eyes shifted away from him as she still wanted to do more findings on it before turning around towards the guards once again and muttering out to them in a somewhat pleading tone.

"This is my section and I don't think that it's right to take someone away. I will do more investigation and if I found out that he is lying then we would take it up from there."

Their faces were filled with scorn and it was evident that Tina had done much more than just calling them over.

"We can't do that. The safety of the company is a top priority." They replied.

"You are trying to act like you are the professional here so that you would get the credit for something that I didn't myself.

But too bad, that is not going to work out for you today. Watch as I get you sacked from the place and send your scrolling back to the harsh realities of the street in search of a job." She laughed at her before turning around towards the guards and also said.

"What are you still waiting for guys? We have proof that he is either a thug or robber."

"And you. If you try to struggle, you are only going to make things much worse for yourself." She threatened.

His hands were cuffed and they were already ready to take him away, not even giving him the chance to say anything more.

They were about to walk off from the place when steps could already be heard forging ahead towards their direction.

The scent was powerful. One that forced everyone to turn in the direction of the sound.

Two men walked in their direction. They were finely dressed in almost identical suits produced by an exclusive brand in the city.

The manner of their steps was one that ascertained their social class and also the way that they carried themselves in

The two men where we'll know to everyone that were gathered there. Their head shaking in pity for the stranger that had been handcuffed.

With Mr. Edward and Frank, the director of the underwater hotel, they were sure that he was going straight right up to jail.

Meanwhile for Tina, she had a broad smile on her face. She could not believe that this was happening. The director and the co-owner were all there to witness her act of diligence.

She quickly fixed herself, making sure that she was proper to receive the two iconic men. As they walked, the people in their paths bowed.

And so did Tina..

"What's happening here?" Director Edward was the first person to speak and Tina quickly got up with a smile on her face.

"Director Edward. As a diligent worker and a committed worker too, I noticed some strange movement but unlike some of my colleagues that decided I turn a blind eye to the fact, I knew that I could never do such.

And so, I had to call the attention of the security to do their job. You don't have to worried me sir."

She was still smiling lost in the realms of her world that she didn't even notice when a slap rang Throughout the course of her face.

"Have you gone mad?" His face was flaming red with anger as he thundered at her.

The challenge, everything about the company excites me, you know.”“ Oh, you bet,” Director Edward chipped in. Dressed in a tuxedo and Italian leather shoes, he definitely looked the part.“I can't tell you how excited I am that you are the one in charge of the fast food project. We've never done anything like this before. But the board members were impressed with you, so why not give it a try?”Ha

He had barely ended the call when the Porsche stopped at the gates of his father's estate. The gates lifted of its own accord, as if it recognized the car.His eyes widened, and he caught the eyes of Hubert, the driver, who saw his dilemma but refused to speak.“How did that happen?”Hubert adjusted uneasily before speaking.“The gate is one of the new models in the city. It has the ability to recognize all cars owned by Mr James. This is just one of the capabilities of the gate. It can resist forceful entry by raising an alarm that rings throughout the neighborhood and all the way to the station.”Lutenant nodded in awe. A few days ago, he had never passed through a gate that recognised faces. How quickly things could change for the better.“Incredible!”“Here we are, sir.” Before Lut could get out of the car, Hubert had done so, running to his door to open it for him. Smiling, Lut grabbed the file that had been given to him by director Edward before turning to Hubert. “You know th

For the past few years of your life, you've been battered by life, friends and even your peers. And I consented to taking charge of it.”Aurora's eyebrow arched in surprise, and Lut knew why.He had only come to the company a few days ago, and he was already handling something so fragile. It was rare, but at the same time, it said a lot about the extent of his ability to adapt quickly.“The reason I arranged this meeting is because I was asked to choose my team, and you were the first person that came to mind. Richard didn't know how to start. He didn't have an invite, he didn't know the owner of the party, and he was only there because he wanted to get his girlfriend, who he was certain was already drunk and take her home. The first man stared at him in irritation, his eyebrow arched.“I'm guessing you didn't hear me earlier, mister. If you don't have an invite, I'm afraid you can't come to the party.”Richard didn't know what to do, so he did the first thing that came to his mind. He pushed the first guard, the frown on his face huge, and began to make his way into the warehouse. The other man stopped him, pushing him backwards.“Are you out of your mind? I'm certain you don't want to get shot at, mister. And the only way to do that is to pick your sorry self and leave this place this instant.”Richard squared up, refusing to admit defeat.“Look, there's someone I need to see there immediately, and if she doesn't come out this minute, her life will be in danger.”The first guard scoffed.

From my findings, the company is going for five hundred million dollars, and while that's too much, I can see the advantages of the buy. The forecast considering the lifespan of the business isn't good, but with enough work and effort, I believe we can turn it around.”She shrugged, her beer in one hand, one leg crossed over the other. It was room service. The man who had served Aurora had come to pick up the plates. As soon as he was out of the door and out of earshot, Aurora spoke, shrugging.“You can spend a day with him, if it suits you. I'll be off to work this week, so I think I can use the solace and the time to get myself and my stuff together.”Natalie raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised.“Are you sure? I can stay here with you, you know. Help you out…”Aurora shook her head defensively. She knew her best friend wanted to go with Carl, and what she clearly didn't understand was why she had come to her in the first place when she already knew the decision she was going to make at last.“No, it's fine. You can go with him, have a nice time. I'll be at home when you come back, I can't wait to check out of this place.”Nodding, Natalie smiled. In minutes, she had borrowed a duffle bag, and packed the clothes she was going to need for the so-called “one day” visit. The bag in her hand, she bid her farewell. “

By weekend, Richard had finally managed to get himself ready to act as a salesman and personal assistant to his girlfriend's father.Dressed in a tuxedo and black, leather shoes, he looked like a different man, but that didn't hide who he actually was. Douglas, who had visited him the previous night before the weekend, smiled as soon as he put the finishing touch to his dressing.“I don't know what this man sees in you, to be honest. You don't love his daughter, you're out to get his company, and the worst part is that he doesn't even know it. I've never seen someone so clueless in my life.”Richard bent to put a shoelace in place, and by the time he stood up, there was a big grin on his face.“You can't do it. And that's what separates me from other men out there. I can be whatever he wants me to be as long as I please him. As long as I make him happy. You don't know that, do you?”Douglas laughed.“You better get some money today, we've not had a customer in weeks.”Richard nodded,
