Chapter 6(The man from the future)

From the looks of every scenario that was taking place, a gut feeling he had was that he somehow was teleported to the past; which was the medieval times.

He sat speechless and glue to a spot on the seat. The soldiers weren't saying anything either and so the only noise that was heard was the rattling sound of wheels and the hoofs of horses along with the dangling sounds of metals.

The chariot came to a halt at a castle. The sight of this magnificent building caused this perplexed man to exclaim.

“Wow, this is mind-blowing” he muttered, hopping out of the chariot and rubbing his eyelids to confirm if he was at a citadel.

Never in his life have he imagined being at such a place and honored by many.

This was more like a dream come true.

There were a large number of crowd gathered outside the castle wall. These people tend to be agitating for something, but ceased immediately the soldiers drew near.

Several gates were leading to several places in this castle, and Brian was sure he would get missing.

He told himself not to get fascinated over this place, as he still was uncertain about where he was.

What exactly do they want from him? He still had a family to fight for and win back. Brian felt the moment he spent here was delaying.

The soldiers who had brought him here needed to know that he was in a haste to go back home, since they were the ones that found him at that unknown place.

His eyes observed the environment he was. The people who were by the second gate leading to the castle had probing eyes on him.

They whispered and spoke among themselves. Who could this strange man be? He was dressed differently from them, had a weird head cut, looked somewhat like a fallen angel with that enticing face of his.

The leader of the warriors led him towards the castle and beckoned on the people who obstructed the way to the castle to move aside.

Brian could tell that they look upon him like an alien who had lost his way. But actually that was how he saw them.

Could these people be aliens whose spaceship landed in his house and found his poor soul lingering around.

“Behold! The man from the future as prophesied!” A messenger blasted and Brian had to close his ears to the loud uproar which he received from the people.

Their worries were suddenly lifted, and it was followed by rejoicing. The man from the future has finally come to redeem the land!

Did they just call him man from the future? No way! His assumptions might be right, these set of humans are aliens who descended from some strange planet and took him along with them.

“All hail the great wizard!!!” Someone from the crowd chanted, and others followed suit.

He felt he was insane at what was going on and needed a way to tell them the truth. However, a second thought came to his mind.

What if he gains power in this place and make wealth? That way, he could prove to all those who rejected him that he could be something great.

Brian expected to see the king or ruler of this castle, but there was no trace of him. If he had a camera, he would have taken capture of everything his eyes behold around her.

He was still contemplating on what to do with his life over here, when the leader of the soldier suddenly said;

“Hurry, she's dying”

This soldier was troubled about something, and it could only be that the hope they had was him.

This man from the future. He had confirmed the rumors by controlling the wind, and so he should be able to raise the dead.

Who was the "she" in question? Perhaps, she could be the king's wife.

Brian narrowed his brows at the soldier who had already began to walk away. There wasn't room to ask any questions and so, he had to go along with the soldier.

His eyes kept scrolling around the palace, which looked like heaven. It was beyond beautiful, he would say.

There were no words that he could use to describe this citadel, but his heart had embedded the picture of this castle.

He wished his daughter were here in this beautiful dream of his. They would both explore everywhere together and joke about the people here.

His legs kept following the pace of the soldier and they both arrived at a large door.

It seems everything here was made of gold, and he could tell they were real gold.

Brian wished this magnificent place would become his. The thought of suddenly brought back the memory of the silver spoon.

“I would leave you here great wizard” the soldier said, invading Brian's memory.

He didn't even wait for Brian to say a word before departing. There was always something interfering in his thoughts. How would he think straight if his brain wouldn't get a chance to think?

What next? Was he going to stand by a large door and wait for what fate had for him? This was more frustrating than ever, especially when there was no one to assist him.

Didn't they call him man from the future? Why should he be abandoned at this door instead of given direction on what to do?

This was so frustrating, if he ever gets back home, he needed to visit psychiatrist hospital just check himself if he was normal.

There was no one around to ask a question about why he was left by this door. He decided to knock on it, but there was no response.

Brian peeped to and fro, he noticed that there was no one around. This was his chance to escape, but how when he had no idea of the segments of this castle.

“How do I get out?” He thought racking his brain and thinking of something possible to say but then, a giggle lured his attention.

It was a child, and the giggling of that child sounds familiar. He left the spot he was, attempted to follow the direction where that giggle was coming from.

This curious man was almost close to where the child's excited giggles were coming from, but an invisible hand pulled him with force to a corner.
