“Who do you think you are to say that, You are a nobody, and you are not entitled to say anything at all.” Mary spat angrily. She was the one who slapped him heavily on his cheek, and she was ready to slap him again if he annoys her again.

“You are really a disgrace to my daughter. I thought that after you relocated here with your stupid story of being scammed, that soon you will get some money and regain your rich status, but no, you remain like this.” Raymond uttered as he looked at Peter with hatred. Megan couldn't help but laugh out loudly. 'So this fool thinks that he will be great again? What an idiot, I married in the name of a husband.' She mused with irritation.

“It has been fucking three years, and you have achieved nothing, totally nothing in your life. So, tell me what will you achieve now, huh? You are a failure if you don't know, and I am still standing by my Words, I will get rid of this bastard baby. I have a lot of things I need to do with my life Rather than getting pregnant for a useless man like you and giving birth to an idiot.”

“Megan, you will not abort my child!! Never in this life, and if you do, I promise you that you will regret it a lot.” Peter said, and immediately walked out of the room before he left the house.

Megan looked at her parents for a while before she said in a low calm voice, “I don't think it is a good idea for me to abort this baby.” She furrowed her brows a bit.

Mary narrowed her eyes, “Don't Tell me that you are thinking of keeping this baby. Do you know that this baby will ruin your life, and it will spoil things between you and Jack?” She asked with a complicated Expression on her face. Mary didn't even want her daughter to have anything to do of Peter, and Megan was beautiful, Which means that she will attract numerous Rich men.

Megan sighed and kept quiet for a while before she said, “I want to avoid keeping the baby and beside you are right, keeping this baby will bring no good to my life and yes, it will ruin things between me and jack, so I will abort it.” She said firmly, with a hint of finality in her voice.

“That's Good, my dear. Don't worry, you are making a Good decision. Peter just wants to ruin your life and bring pain to you, so it is better you reject that. He is a useless Man who has no work. It is better if you get him out of your life.” Raymond said as the three of them walked to the sitting room to sit.

Claire looked at them with a displeased look on her face. She can't really understand why her mother and father hates Peter a lot after everything he did for them. She was not supporting anything they were planning. At times, she even wonders if her family has conscience. She just decided to ignore them and focus on the movie she was watching. “Heartless.” She mumbled underneath her breath, with a light frown.

There was a knock on the door and Claire immediately walked over there to open the door. Wondering who it might be, She opened the door and saw a man in his mid-Forties.

“Hey, Good morning.” The man said with a little smile.

“Yeah Good morning. Please, who are you looking for?” She asked, curious.

“Mr. Raymond Brown.” The man said, and Claire nodded a little.

“Dad, someone is here for you.” She said a little Loud before she turned and looked at the man. “Come in.” She said and fully opened the door for him to enter inside.

“Oh, you are here, James. Please come in.” Raymond said nicely with a big smile on his lips as he approached the man.

James smiled a little. “Good morning Raymond.” He greeted, “Good morning, Mary.” He greeted too as he engaged in a handshake with Raymond. After exchanging some pleasantries, they sat down. “So, do you have Everything ready?” Megan asked as she looked at him straight in the eyes.

“Yes, Megan. I have everything ready. All I need is your signature and his signature for everything to be completed.” James said with a one-sided smile.

Megan eyes sparkled with joy and happiness. “Alright. Bring it out, let me sign, please.” She said immediately, not wasting much time.

James opened the briefcase he was holding and brought out some files. He handed it over to her. “Sign here.” he said as he gave her a pen to sign. She signed it immediately and returned the pen to him.

'Finally.' She mused with happiness in her eyes. Claire just looked at them confused, but she knew that whatever they were doing, it will be something bad. Raymond and Mary had smiles on their face too as they exchanged happy looks.

“Alright good. Just get him to sign and then everything will be okay and done.” James said, and she nodded her head in a yes.

“Alright, I have to go now, just inform me when you are done.” James said as he stood up, preparing to leave.

“Alright. Thanks a lot, James. I am happy.” Mary said.

“You are welcome. Raymond, my friend, I will see you later. Bye Mary.” James said, walking towards the door.

“Alright, bye, my friend.” Raymond said.

“Take care too.” Mary said before James left their house. Mary high five Raymond with a smile. Megan was a little quiet.

“Don't worry, my daughter, you did the right thing. Trust me. I am your father, I just want the best for you.” Raymond said with a bold smile.

Megan looked at him, “I know father and trust me when I say I am happy.” She uttered.

Claire, who was watching everything, decided to speak up. “What's going on?” She asked, looking at no one in particular. She has a little smile on her Face.

Megan giggled. “Are you sure you want to know?” She Asked and Claire rolled her eyes because she was not ready for any Drama.

“If you would rather not tell me, then kept it to yourself, I don't really care.” She said and turned her attention on the TV.

Mary and Raymond laughed. “Jeez, calm down, Claire.” Megan said with a corny smile on her lips.

“So, what's going on?” Claire asked again.

“Just watch and see.” Megan replied with an evil smile on her face. It was obvious that they had something in mind, but Claire decided not to bother herself. She just channelled all Her attention to the television. 'I hope the table turns.' She mused Inwardly.

Peter, who was forming with anger, was not aware of what was waiting for him at home. He was tired of everything, but he could not do anything. He knew that they hate him a lot. He felt stressed, but he wanted to keep on fighting. He was not ready to give up just like that. Everyone he knows has rejected him. Even his trusted friends refused to offer help to him. His heart and thought was clouded with dark thought. There was this hatred that was building up in his heart. He was really not happy about Everything and his heart was bleeding in Pain. He wants to be better, but everywhere he goes to seek for help, he will surely receive a negative answer. He was indeed stressed, but he was not ready to back off at all. He was thinking about the Offer Dagger made to him.

Dagger was one of his friends, but when he asked for help from him. Dagger refused, saying he needs to work with him before he could help him, but Peter was not ready to engage in any illegal act. Killing was surely nothing to them, but to him, it was something, and he would rather not be dealing with drugs and all. He stopped In front of a house and knocked on the door. After some minutes, the door opened.

He smiled a little when he saw her, “Good morning, ma.” He greeted politely.

“Oh Peter, it is nice that you are here. Please come inside and take a sit.” She said, and he entered inside the house before he sat down on one of the couch.

“Nice House.” He complimented and she blushed a little.

“Thanks Peter.” She said and sat down near him.

“So Jessica, you know the reason I am here. You told me that I will get the job today.” He said with hope. Jessica has a big restaurant where she sells food and even offer delivery service.

“Oh yes, that's true, but there is no more opportunity for you again.” She said, and he frowned.

“What do you mean, You notified me that I will get the job today and I also worked a lot concerning this.” He said with a light frown.

Olivia smiled slyly as she gave him a seductive look, but Peter ignored that. Olivia was gorgeous And beautiful. She was curvy and beautiful. Any man who sees her would like to be her lover.

“Why?” Peter asked because he has worked his ass off just to get the job, And now hearing another story was not pleasing to him.

Olivia rolled her eyes, “Well let me burst your bubble, your so-Called wife is having an affair with Jack. Your close friend.”

Peter was dumbfounded. He knew that she was having an affair outside their marriage, but what shocked him was that she was having an affair with Jack.
