“My goodness!” A voice screamed out amidst gasps as they watched the men filled with terror, laid on their bodies in pain while they wondered what just happened to them.

Only then did the residents begin to disperse till there was none left, secretly watching behind their curtains.

What just happened? They could not help but wonder, scared of the strange, homeless man.

Only then did Reed move towards his brother, his heart filled with sympathy.

“Please don't hurt me too” He said with a whimper.

The man shook his head gently, “It's me, Vincent. I'm back”

The man said with sadness laced in his voice.

Three years ago, his brother was full of life and now? They turned him into a broken, worthless man.

All because of him!

How dare they lay their filthy hands on his brother?

He seethed as he watched his brother's eyes widen in shock.

The man could not believe his eyes.

“You're back?” Vincent asked while the man nodded. Only then did he help his brother on his knees while Vincent's eyes welled in tears.

“Let me take care of them. I'll be back soon” Reed said. However, the man shook his head firmly.

“I can't let you go through what I went through. I'm the older one and I should protect you.

The G-Thugs aren't people you should mess with. They are…”

Only then did Reed remember who they were. They were the same people that had tortured him three years ago after Sharon had forged his signature just that they didn't have a popular name yet.

Best known also for torturing people by imprinting the amount the debtors owed on their chests and making sure they got triple of what debtors owed whenever they could not repay.

The moment suddenly became eerie. The residents’ eyes nearly popped from their sockets as they trembled in fear.

Just a moment ago, they were worried. In a blink, they were in fear

“Are troublesome,” Reed continued. “But I promise you that I'll be fine. Let me handle them”

Vincent looked at his brother and for the first time in three years, he saw someone that had completely changed from who he was.

He didn't seem like a fragile man.

Finally, he nodded and helped the old man who had passed out to his house.

From a distance, Vincent watched as Reed approached the gang leader and touched his leg, worsening the sprain.

The man's filthy scream echoed through the air as he clenched his eyes in pain.

Worried that anything could happen again, he went inside to pick up a knife.

“Why are you doing this to me? I don't know you!” The leader yelled.

“Of course you do!” Reed snapped. “You tormented my brother for three years after claiming I was dead”

The gang exchanged glances, their faces now pale with shock.

Had he risen from the dead? They confirmed that this man was gone! How could he be standing here now, powerful and unshaken?

They couldn't even explain what happened earlier!

However, the leader laughed hard through the pain. He still refused to believe that it was the same gullible man whose signature was forged three years ago by his girlfriend and got himself into a pile of trouble.

“Do you think this is some sort of a comedy show? That bastard is long gone! Did you see what they did to him? I plan to do the same to that bastard over there as soon as I have my full money collected from him!”

Reed's rage surged. He snapped his fingers, twisting the man's leg further. Only then did the man's screams grow louder.

“It's me, Reed! The same man you planned to kill and once I am done with you all, you will realize the mistake you made by messing around with my family!”

“How are you still alive? They said you were dead.

The boss said you were a threat to him because your girlfriend may still visit you in jail.

We saw your dead body”

The leader stammered.

Reed smirked coldly.

“Do you really think I'm dead? I would have loved to kill you all and send you to that bastard, Cornell but it's not yet time”

Reed turned to see his brother still watching from a distance.

“I want you to get on your knees and beg that man” He said.

The leader’s eyes turned frosty. Only then did a malicious voice became evident,

“Just because you suddenly sprained my legs, you think you have some sort of power?

You came for revenge and this is your big plan? You're still a loser”

“Once a loser, always a loser!”

“After all, you lost your girlfriend to a rich man. Even in a million years to come, you still won't be able to compete with him!”

“In a few hours, Mr Cornell will be gifting his wife a golden sculpture to mark their third anniversary made by the best artist in town”

“In fact, you'll think you're going after Mr Cornell, forgetting that he's not the only one involved in this. You'll be so mad when you realize Mr Harrison is also involved!”

The leader said while the gang laughed in mockery.

Reed's eyes darkened.

“kneel!” He ordered again, this time more coldly, not wanting to hear anymore bullshit.

“Why should we?” The leader sneered, slipping his hand behind his back to grab a knife.

“You may have sprained my legs but not my hands, you crazy ex-convict”

He yelled, lunging forward. However, Reed took a step ahead of them and immediately twisted the man's ankle, sending him crashing to the ground in agony.

However, Vincent was worried his brother would go back to jail again while he thought of what to do.

Meanwhile, the residents who were watching from their windows all stared in awe.

They couldn't believe that Reed was back, stronger and mightier!

“Please don't hurt us again. We're sorry” One of the men cried. He couldn't stand it anymore.

“Wrong! That man over there is the one you owe your apology to” Reed thundered icily, pointing to Vincent.

Vincent shook his head instead, “I don't want you to go back to jail. Please stop”

“I promise you that I won't. They will be the ones to go to jail instead”

He said and looked at them maliciously. Only then did they hurriedly fall on their knees, terrified of more pain.

“Please forgive us. We will never bother you again” The G-Thugs all said at once as they clasped their hands in desperation .

“Tell your boss I'll be back for him. Now, get lost” He said with a step forward with his voice cold as ice wishing he could kill them as he watched them scramble but he knew it would be too risky.

The watching eyes could get him into trouble again.

Sharon! Cornell! It's high time I paid you both a visit!

“It’s the demon” The male prisoners all said at once as fear enveloped them while they walked past the man who sat in a lotus position with his hands clasped together as if he was praying. However, he wasn't. He was simply communicating with the deities just the same way the old hag, Xavier had taught him in the past three years of being in prison. That moment, Xavier walked in with his head lowered and sat across from him. With his hands folded, he looked at Reed Twist whose expression he could not decipher. “How does it feel to leave the prison tomorrow?” He asked respectfully while Reed’s heart suddenly felt heavy as he clenched his fist. All his mind screamed was revenge against what they had done to him. The thought of the reason he was in jail came running in his mind as he stared into space, trying his best not to let his anger get the best part of him because things could go downhill. Three years ago, he was about to get married to his fiancée, Sharon of seven ye
