CHAPTER 06:

That was too hard to sink in. Ethan stared blankly at the man in the white suit, yet doubted maybe he meant what he had just called him.

"Young master!" The White suit man said, "We have been searching for you."

Ethan was trying to compose himself but couldn't.

Ethan's hands clenched tightly, trying to hold onto his composure.

"You don't need to force yourself." The white suit man said. "I'm Carl Lyall by the way. Where is Mr. Allen?"

Ethan's looks changed instantly, He did know his father's name.

That was the one shocking thing that made him think maybe the name wasn't a bad call or mistake.

"Carl or what do you call yourself?" His lips curved downward in a silent plea for understanding, a plea that went on and on for a longer moment. He pressed on, "How do you know Mr. Allen?"

"If he's still alive, it would be better for us to meet him so that he can explain what's happening Mr Ethan." Carl Lyall said. "Now that we are friends."

"Friends? You keep your hopes high?" Mr Ethan asked. "To disappoint you, I can't follow you. Not when I don't know you and how you were able to identify me so clearly."

"It wouldn't be polite for us to discuss here. Let's speak in the SUV." Carl Lyall urged. "It would be safe enough for us to talk out."

Ethan had no opposition as he got into the SUV backseat where Carl Lyall sat, gently beside him.

Ethan has never been called something like Young Master before.

The names he was called, are usually Bastard, foolish, Poor, and useless son-in-law.

But now allegedly being called Young Master was a doubt sent down into his brain.

"Listen up, sprinkle Tits," Ethan said. "You better start talking about how you got my father's name and my identity. Did Mr Charleston and Elena Mick send you here?"

"Those names look familiar boy." Gray Lyall muttered. "Aren't they part of Mick's and Stone's?"

Incredibly amazing, who does call them that? Ethan thought, probably maybe this was another man. But couldn't fathom what such a man wanted with a failure like him.

Someone who couldn't even pay for his father's hospital bill.

"Yes." Ethan is coed. "Are you going to talk or keep me in the shadow I don't understand how I got in?"

"Well, I'm going to speak." Carl Lyall replied. "You see, Mr. Joel Mason the top one budin tycoon in this Jag city his you father. It might sound strange but it's the truth. I met you once and I Informed him that his son is still alive. He's back now and wanted to meet his son."

Ethan laughed sarcastically, saying: "Then if he's looking for his son. He could go elsewhere. All you've got to do is let me go."

"I can't go." Carl Lyall said. "Because you're his son."

"You got some nerves," Ethan said. "I need to go and find a way to pay for my father's hospital bills. I can't just wait here for your unreasonable talk. How can I be the son of that popular man? I need to get my father treated, I am getting down right away"

That wasn't right.

Maybe right for now, but he didn't even have an actual way to get the payment.

But speaking to a stranger who called him a son to another man hit badly.

"You mean Mr Allen is stabilized in this hospital?" Carl asked. Ethan sadly nodded his head before Gray pressed on. "Can I see the doctor?"

"Yes, if you tell me what you're going to tell the doctor," Ethan replied. "But No, if you can't tell me."

"You're a pain in the ass. I thought you would be a gentleman just like your father" Carl Lyall said. "Whether you tell me or not. I can find the doctor somehow."

Ethan watched as Carl Lyall climbed down the car and the door clicked locked back. He quickly followed suit, but by the time he made it down, Carl Lyall had already entered the hospital.

Ethan hurried to catch up with him, but Carl was already talking to the doctor. "Like how much do we need to get the operation started?" Carl Lyall asked, sounding urgent.

The doctor looked over Carl Lyall's shoulder before replying, "Any amount is possible."

"I'll meet the nurse," Carl Lyall said. "But please do everything you can to make him stable and get him back on his feet."

"I already informed Mr. Ethan of his illness, Mr. Carl," the doctor added. "The illness Mr. Allen has means he will depend on medication for the rest of his life."

Carl Lyall looked concerned. "That's not good enough. You need to do what you can to make sure he's alive and well. If you need an international surgeon or doctor to assist you, we can make that happen. Don't worry about payment, we'll cover all expenses. Just tell me what we need to do."

Ethan was taken aback. He couldn't believe what he was doing for him. And who was this, Joel Mason? He knew that name, he knew he was s popular man in Jag city but then he never saw his pictures none as he saw him on social media, he's like an anonymous person. Why are they doing this? Is true he's an heir to the Jag city heir.

He had so many questions rummaging through his thoughts, he wanted to talk, but he didn't want to interrupt.

The doctor nodded. "Okay, I will search for the best doctor who can help with his illness. But I'll treat him and make sure he's stable before any other doctors get involved." He then instructed the nurses to take Mr. Allen to the most expensive ward in the hospital.

Ethan walked up to Carl Lyall. "Thank you so much. I appreciate everything you're doing. But why are you doing this for me?" He wants to be intrigued but wants to be swayed by the offer, moreover, he doesn't need pity.

His life is already miserable enough after three years with Elena.

"Your father is longing to see you, I know he will be excited after all these years that we all thought you were dead," Mr. Carl replied.

"You look like an asshole, I don't want to believe any more lies, you rich people are stuck, and all you care about is his formalities. Are you trying to gain my attention, are you a political and want to boost with this? Because I don't get it right, my father is staying in that ward diagnosed with some stupid illness and all you could think of is telling lies about another man." Ethan said, his tone filled with criticism.

"I don't you must be angry that I just bumped into your affairs, but the main issue here is you coming back home" Mr Carl replied, and when he couldn't take it any longer he let out frustratingly.

" I don't trust you, rich people,  You still have time to change your mind, take your money, and leave if you're going to keep saying all these."

Mr Carl chuckled and patted his back, before saying: "I understand how you  felt. And you're right, maybe I wasn't thinking well. But I'm not taking back the money.

He told him to come with him to perform the DNA test, and to confirm his doubt he followed him. After taking his blood, The doctor said they couldn't get it as they would have to wait for like some hours, and he would get back to them. He appreciated that and said he would await his result.

"Even if the look is deceiving this can't be ordinary, this pendant on your neck is related to your background”
