“The techniques you learn are a collection of the most powerful techniques from the strongest martial Gods. The god you just fought—or rather, who just beat you up, is none other than the assassin god, Sima Wu Jian. He's the commander of darkness, and doesn't need weapons to kill. At the age of fifteen he killed cultivators two realms higher than his realm back then. And you must realize that a gap in cultivation realm is insurmountable for cultivators. Someone of a higher realm can easily squash another of a lower realm without breaking a sweat. That's why a battle is only fair when carried out among people of the same realm. Now imagine someone killing not one, but two people two realms higher than he is. Impossible and ridiculous, right? But he did it and came out alive. The method of learning takes you to the masters who created the technique, or rather simulates them. And inside that simulation created by the system, you learn personally from the creators. As for Sima Wu Jian wh

“What do you think is holding the boss in there? It has been two days, but he never left his room. He hasn't eaten for two days. Should we go check on him?” Amanda asked one day as they were taking Oliver out for some fresh air. Her face had considerably healed. The only sign of injury on her face was the reddish area on her face but the injury was healing up nicely. “Why are you so concerned? Maybe you should go to his room. He gave you permission to go check out his bed skills, have you forgotten?” Sam asked. “You're mad. May thunder fire you. Useless man.” All Sam did was laugh at the red faced Amanda who was about to faint from anger. “It's better not to go there. He warned us not to ever disturb him when he's in his room. He could be doing something important like research. Whenever he feels like it, he will come down.” Tiffany said, lazily eating an apple while hanging from a swing in the garden. “Is this how you guys live everyday?” Elena suddenly asked, throwing a pe

Anthony picked up a pen from the bedside table and removed the pen cover. He walked to the balcony, overlooking the garden. With concentration, he aimed at one of the branches of the apple tree in the garden. However, his aim suddenly changed at the last minute, and he hurled the pen without much thought. Almost immediately, the cry of a bird was heard, alongside a dull thud. The pen had pierced a bird flying past, instantly killing the bird. Anthony couldn't help but smile, although a small part of him felt sorry for the bird. “Amazing. Accuracy is 100%. Congratulations master, you have reached perfection in the hidden weapon technique.” Just then, the people who were in the other garden relaxing heard the strange sound and ran to the spot. Amanda reached the bird first and screamed in horror, quickly rushing back. “What was that?” Elena asked, holding Oliver tightly. Sam reached there and gasped, his eyes wide with shock. He picked it up and showed it to them. “Someone k
The septillionaire's superstar system MYSTERY
Alvin cursed out loud. Sure enough, the system was not to be trusted. “You have twenty minutes before the time starts counting. Check carefully what you need.”“Damn it!” Alvin’s mind began to work fast. Creating music was not a problem since it had been ingrained in him, a dream he held dear to his heart. But creating multiple good music within a few minutes enough to last four hours seemed like mission impossible to him. “What do those K-pop idols prepare when going live?” He whispered, quickly grabbing a writing pad and pen. “First a karaoke machine, piano, DJ set, condenser microphone, make up, and costume. Then there's the lighting devices, piano to create the music and phone. I don't even have a phone, damn it.”“You can buy a phone from the system inventory store which will be connected to you. As for the karaoke machine, you have a music room upstairs with piano, guitar and even a drum set.”Alvin began the race upstairs. Luckily, he didn't meet anyone, otherwise they woul
The septillionaire's superstar system Is that him?
The emotions soon gripped Alvin and tears began to roll down his cheeks from behind the mask as he immersed himself in the memories of his past. The pain of surviving without family, going all kinds of low and accepting all kinds of dirt to survive. The humiliation, the pain, the exploitation, the times he always fell flat on his face immediately after standing up just when he thought he had won, the constant betrayals from those around him meant to protect him, and his heart crushing numerous times till he had none left. All the pains he endured and all the types of destructive thoughts he had to overcome to stay alive kept replaying. However, the mysterious thing was that despite the fact that he was crying profusely lost in his memories, his voice didn't falter or crack one bit. It was steady all through, clear and mesmerizing. The final interlude soon came and he continued to play the tone, in readiness to deliver the last verse. “I could understand, if it was a stranger. Perhaps

Tiffany looked at Amanda with a mischievous smile. “You are a content creator with quite the amount of followers. Since we moved in here, you have been creating content non stop taking advantage of the beautiful environment, from pretending to cook to taking cooking videos, to the garden, pools, playground, the wine cellar, and even riding horses at the horse ranch, making you gather lots of followers.”Amanda scowled, getting angry. “Are you accusing me of living a fake life? I might have posted pictures and videos which I took here, but I never claimed they were mine. We don't leave the house for security reasons, unless necessary. Where else will I create content if not here? Besides, do I need to go out of my way to find a location when I can come up with content right here? Tiffany, you also post pictures taken here. You're worse than me borrowing Leah's Jewelries and posing beside the boss’s car!”Tiffany shook her head, waving her fingers before her. “You're missing the whol
The septillionaire's superstar system HYPNOTIZING THEM
The drum beats took up the most parts of the song, while Alvin casually bobbed his head to the sound of the beat. Soon, the song's tempo increased and Alvin began to beat the drums like a mad man, multiplying the speed by several tiers. But the amazing thing was that he never missed a beat, till he delivered the last hit, sweat pouring out of his body as he used the drum to release all his pent up emotions and stress. “The song just messed with my mind. I think I had deja vu while listening. I could see a man tied to a stake, burning with a thousand arrows shot at him, with vicious people who had bloody fangs pulling on the rope holding him hostage. And a silver light suddenly flashed, slicing the ropes apart, letting him regain freedom.”“Same here. How can an audio description ignite such a vivid experience? Is this still talent? He didn't hypnotize us, did he?” “I want him to hypnotize me.”“I never realized watching a sweating man could be erotic.”“What's the song title?” When
The septillionaire's superstar system SUCCESS
The system merely gave him a dark chuckle and ignored him. Alvin got ready for his last performance twenty minutes to the elapsing of the time. He wore his boots, T-shirt, and another shirt over that, and rugged blue jeans. He immediately transformed into a mischievous rock star, holding his electric acoustic guitar. He played the intro, bobbing his head like a lizard. “Who is my heart waiting for? Last night, exhausted from hours of work without rest, hit the bed knowing I only have an hour. Loneliness seeps into my bones, surrounded by beauty yet craving none. Scarred? It could be. Thinking about a fairytale with an unknown face, sure to have a pretty smile. Yet again I ask, who is my heart waiting for?”The song continued, telling a resonating story of a lonely man wishing for love, wondering where the fated love could be waiting for him? Where should he go to find her? He soon changed to another song. The beat slightly changed at first, but he soon transitioned to the full sca

finding a missing genius
Some of the disciples gasped in amazement on seeing the interior. There was an entire section dedicated to gold, silver and precious stones. Different kinds of weapons were also displayed there alongside some unknown treasures and ancient book. “Hmmm, what's that smell?” Alvin whispered, distracting the disciples who were eagerly checking out the treasures. Murong Wuque was equally frowning, facing the same direction as Alvin. The disciples frowned and quickly ran after them. “You guys are disappointing me. Assuming you came alone, you would have gone straight for the treasures without searching for traps or people lying in wait. What if the treasures were not real but merely an illusion created by a slaughter formation to lure greedy souls in? You would have fallen into the trap all the same. I can't always follow you guys out to missions, you guys should learn how to better protect yourselves.” Murong Wuque snapped, scolding them harshly. He was what one would call a perfect
demon's treasury
“Did you find anything?” Alvin muttered the moment Murong Wuque returned. They had finally managed to kill the enchantress after two hours of battle, a very close call. They would have ended up dead if not for Murong Wuque and Alvin who seemed to have a tacit understanding, working in tandem with each other, till Alvin found an opportunity to launch a deadly sneak attack on her. Just as she howled and turned to end him, Murong Wuque added numerous killing blows in quick successions, taking her by surprise. She had wanted to escape but they had locked down the surroundings, disabling teleportation. Although it was disadvantageous for some of them, the gain outweighed the loss of mobility. The rest of the disciples also began to add many attacks, emboldened by Alvin and Murong Wuque’s success. “There are no captives here. She probably already used them for what she intended. The only thing left is her treasury, and it would take some time to pick the lock. We might burn everything do
HIDDEN WEAPONS IN ACTION
Alvin wasn't sitting idly by. He grabbed a pillow that somehow found its way to where they were standing, probably during the enchantress’s play with her man-pets, and quickly slapped the monsters closest to him. The others nearly cursed at him, but their words got stuck in their throats. The casual smash with the pillow pulverized the demons it came in contact with. He swung it in an arc, clearing ten demons in a straight line. There was no time to think. The rest drew their weapons, emboldened by the fearless duo. If an unknown cultivator could endure their demonic energy and bloodlust, while delivering fatal strikes, they could do it too. But they soon realized that it was mission impossible. The demons were too powerful, making it hard to easily kill them. The strongest ones could only kill one or two at a time, and there were hundreds of demons and only fifteen of them. It made them wonder how Alvin was able to kill them with a mere pillow. The one carrying the injured culti

Alvin picked up an arrow from the ones on the ground, and examined it. After a while, he hurled it at a spot on the door. At once, the arrows ceased. “Ah? What just happened?” “Fellow cultivator, thank you. We truly make a great team.” Murong Wuque said, smiling at Alvin. “Ah? What does that mean? Was he the person who made the arrows stop?” The disciples refused to believe it even when the proof was right before them. After all, how could a waste be able to achieve such a feat? Surely their first brother was confused and didn't realize when he did it. “He truly stopped the arrows.” Another senior whispered, making everyone stunned. But they were in for more surprises. They entered the palace and went down the hallway till they came into a huge room. The room was designed in scarlett and a huge king sized bed was on the platform. There was a huge shelf at the end with countless human skulls, exhibited as if they were some sort of trophy. On the bed was a woman dressed in
Casualty
After a battle which lasted five minutes, the last monster fell dead. However, one of the disciples was injured by a deep claw slash, making blood gush out, and it also seemed as if the claw was infected. Murong Wuque walked to him whereas another disciple was supporting him. He made a swift slash on the wound and extracted the toxin. Without a word, he brought out a bottle of pills and herbs from his pouch. He stuffed the pill into the young man's mouth, and sprinkled some herbs on the wound. He raised his cloak and tore off some pieces of clothes from his inner layer of gown and used it to bandage the wound, before adjusting the boy's clothes. Everyone was watching Murong Wuque in shock. He was someone obsessed with cleanliness and image, but he willingly ruined his precious clothes to turn it into a bandage to stop the bleeding. He handled the situation efficiently, as if he had been a doctor for ages. It seemed that when it comes to his fellow disciples’ safety, his principle
sinking into the demon's trap
They arrived at a cave, which had a pitch-black interior. The air was chilly, the atmosphere creepy. Almost immediately someone turned on a kind of ancient torch which produced flames the moment it is opened and comes in contact with air. Murong Wuque accepted the flaming torch from one of the boys and quickly began to move inside. He suddenly stopped as a sense of foreboding arose in him. Alvin also felt it and looked around. But before they could find the source, the ground opened up and swallowed them. The batch behind barely had time to jump back, narrowly escaping the trap. However, all the disciples of the valley, alongside Alvin, were swallowed. The remaining ones were the weaker vagrant cultivators who came to offer assistance in exchange for the bounty. “This is bad, there's a trap here.” One of the men whispered in panic. “This is terrifying. Even young master Murong Wuque didn't notice it on time. How then can small fries like us combat the danger if the almighty young
The hunt
“You, what are you still waiting for? Go take a spare horse from one of the juniors and follow me. I want to see you at all times. Since you specifically came to me, I have to protect you.” Murong Wuque shouted, making Alvin turn to him. “I don't need your protection. Protect your ass and your dumb charges. I can manage just fine on my own.” Murong Wuque chuckled and looked up at him. “What's your name? I can't keep shouting ‘you! You!’ all the time.” Alvin frowned, wondering what name to offer them, a name that wouldn't connect him to any martial arts clan, considering what he was about to do. If his name seemed familiar, after realizing he stole something, they might wage war against the clan they think he came from. But he had no idea about the names of powerful clans in the area. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, he decided to go with the closest Chinese name that has the same pronunciation as his original name. “My name is An Kai.” “An Kai.” Murong Wuque repe
steal your heart
Murong Wuque smiled as he listened to Alvin. “Oh? What could I possibly have that's worth stealing?” He asked, still smiling kindly, knowing that he was close to the answer. Alvin grinned and pinched his cheek lightly. Murong Wuque was doing his best to keep his emotions full of smiles to avoid frightening the bird away from the trap he finally managed to rope him into. Alvin grinned at him and pulled him closer. “I want to steal…”“—your heart.” He completed, smiling brightly at him with that drunk look in his eyes. The smile on Murong Wuque’s face froze and his heart skipped a few beats, not expecting the direction his little investigation steered in. He swallowed the lump in his throat, a bone chilling coldness in his eyes at being deceived. But it disappeared as soon as it came, with his face being all smiles again. “But we're both men. Fellow cultivator, why do you want my heart? Are you sure you don't want something else?” He asked, caressing Alvin's cheeks, barely resisti
Mental Manipulation
Alvin smiled and stepped back. “I'm sorry, but I have other matters to attend to.” He turned to leave, making everyone shocked. He had barely walked two steps when Murong Wuque's voice stopped him. “Stop there!” His voice was cold, his eyes even chilly. The temperature around fell by a few degrees and Alvin felt a slight prickle against his neck. “This cultivator must be stupid. He's actually acting arrogant before young master Murong. He must have a death wish.”“That's right. Young master treated him with courtesy which is very rare. Yet he dared to reject it. He has truly done it this time.”“Lord Murong has lost his patience, seems like there would be a good show to watch.”“Idiot, seeking death.” One of the medicine sage valley’s female disciples said, looking at Alvin condescendingly. “I said stay. What's so hard about that?” Murong Wuque said, and unfurled his white paper fan with dragon patterns on it, taking a step towards Alvin. Alvin's eyes shifted in contemplation. T
