"I'm looking for some leather armour," he said the clerk looked the pink Birdman up and down his clothes were tattered past the point of repair, "Alright would you like three or a five-set piece and what kind?"

Apex looked behind the man there stood a wall of different types of monster skin, wold, mud salamander, even fox.

"Three-piece wolf set please," he answered, "Alright that'll be 300 Silvers please."

The beginner towns had sold their supplies at a discounted price compared to outside. It meant with the coins he had he'd be swimming in at least green rank equipment it was also the highest rank Item the clerk was willing to sell.

"Not bad it's on the lowest spectrum of green equipment but I can complain," he put on the black armoured pants, arm guards and leather breastplate, he couldn't wear a five-piece because what bird folk feet weren't meant more normal shoes a minor disadvantage but otherwise easily passable

Now for a weapon upgrade. he patted his new armour and headed to the blacksmith.

He walked inside the smithy and working at the far end was jacked dwarf-like Jojo style jacked he didn't look back as someone else came around this time a regular person, "How may I be of assistance, sir?"

Reaching into his inventory, He pulled out the wolf fang, "I'd like to have a custom spear made," he said showing the fang the blacksmith stopped hammering and spoke, "Leave him he's mine, a wolf fang eh that's rare, how much?"

"I'm looking to spend about 500 silvers for the weapon, and I'd like it to be made today," he said the dwarf shrugged.

"Hm? You know that'll be costly including one day rush, will cost double," he said examining the fang.

"That's fine with me, can I also buy 20 of your Iron spears?"

The dwarf didn't look still examining the fang, "that'll be 1 gold, come back in five minutes."

He nodded and took the Iron spears now there were just the final preparations. He went to a secluded part of the forest not far from the entrance of the village and sat down.

With his new inventory, he could stack 10 Items in one slot which helped as he was gathering a bunch of pungent berries.

He took out one and smeared it on the spear, he did the same with the other 20 spears, eventually, their names changed. They became poison-tipped spears with dealing -5 Hp for 5 seconds.

"It doesn't matter much but thank you," Apex bowed switching the blackwood spear for this one. He marched in the forest, passing other players and dodging monsters some glanced at him as no one yet had a set of armour.

"Uh we can't beat the damn bear how are we going to complete the quest," an elf healer spoke to her friend as Apex passed by, the silver fox woman turned around for a moment before answering, "hm?"

She said, making the other two turns with them, "What about him?" she said, "The direction is where we came from."

Her friends looked at her as if she were insane, "who cares about some pink bird dude he's probably just going to hunt, what are you implying he's going to fight the boss solo?" the elf player scoffed.

The third girl a red fox beast woman spoke, "Just ignore him Re-Bunny."

"... It's just he has a set of equipment," she turned her head looking forward, " but the prices are high and he has what we need."

"Wait a minute! He really does how is that possible and so quick too?" the elf's eyes glued towards Apex's disappearing back.

The third girl spoke once more, "we can focus on this player another time right now let's see if Arnolds become a blacksmith yet."

'I got this, I can do this, Its defence is around 50,' he inhaled and pulled out an Iron spear and reeled back and swish!

"Roar!" It flinched feeling a sharp pain on its waist it turned seeing Apex afar from it, but before it could do anything another spear slammed into its eye, a critical hit!

Not giving a damn Beruga roared and charged towards him the previous spear still in its eye, 40, 30, 25 meters it was getting close.

"Come at me, bro!" He spread his wings and took to flight to the top of the trees landing on it he pulled out another Iron spear manifested.

Shunk, shunk! -12! -10/s poisoned...

He was doing it two more spears sunk into its back he felt the tree beneath him quickly, he jumped off, gliding across the river. It's barely been one minute, and it was suffering!

The spears also caused it to bleed but its thick hyde stopped it, landing on the river he took out more iron spears from his inventory.

Shunk, shunk, shunk! -18! -15/s poisoned... bleed!

'Two crits nice,' all three Iron spears landed their marks! the bleeding was a kind effect, 'Damn it I threw thirteen times I need to save my energy!'

"Roar!" It snapped the loose ends of the spears, including the one in its eye, and charged towards Apex!

"I guess we're doing this! Hah!" he charged in the river drawing his spear, both came to a clash the Beruga swing its massive bone claws Apex held the spear with both hands in an attempt to block.

Boom!

The water around burst Apex was hit colliding into a tree!

His mind blacked out for a second before realising, '30! one more hit and-'

"Roar!" Beruga charged, refusing to give him any time to recover, 'Haha.'

Apex froze well that's not quite right his perception he could hear it his heart dancing the fear excitement, he loved this game it was the rush he loved!

Swish, scratch!

Apex jumped above its attack with his wings, while in the air he tightened his real spear and stabbed it in its eye!

-170! Lucky Critical bleed -10/s!

In a swift motion, he stabbed in its second fucking eye, but he wasn't done yet!

Shunk! -45, -45! -135 Crit! -135 Crit! -45!

Eyes, bridge, and nose! He trusted consecutive times at the basic weak spots, managing two critical hits with his spears bleed! And when he was going in for one more when he felt its attack.

Instead of he blocked the attack and covering himself using the force he jumped over the boss!

In the next moment, he felt the world turn upside down, 'How!?' he was sure he dodged it hit, but he forgot the six-legged bear It could attack twice in the one go.

'Oh,' he watched as Beruga was splashing at the water it was blind, and it couldn't smell him and the running water deafened his presence.

"Ah!" He planted his crude spear summoning every spear from his inventory and launched them all towards the hulking bear!

The constant sound of piecing flesh mixed with the bloody waters. He used all the spears had on the beast. The poison doing its thing but it was getting close.

"Rooar!" It charged towards his direction Apex was out of energy he couldn't push himself any further.

He pushed his screaming body for one more time his perception slowed the splashing waters froze and it lunged towards him aiming to end him.

Two seconds passed he grabbed his spear, Three seconds he dashed sliding beneath the beast his sense overwhelming him like floating in the water he stood up.

Five seconds with all he had he poured every remaining bit of power he could!

"Roar!" "Argh!" The tip of his spear shimmered in blue light!

Shunk! Boom! Thud!

He blew a gaping hole in its neck his vision turned dark as he fell.

Now that he's recovered he stood up walking to the corpse, he looted it and saw its drops.

Apex nodded opening his pouch and taking out a hear he wrapped it in his beginner clothes and handed it to him. The moment he did another golden light covered him.

He reached level 10!
