Apex Stood up getting used to his new body, he looked like a flamingo that evolved into a human-like being with his pink feathers.

The developers of Fallen Online wanted a fair experience for you when currency exchange becomes an option in 6 months, all the rich bastards thinking they can buy their way to the top would be wrong. The exchange works one way.

There was no inventory only the status screen, market and internet connection, everyone entered with a grey set of clothes.

He looked at the ground seeing some bluegrass and started picking them up. They were mixed in with green grass and needed a closer look to be found. He collected five immediately which increased to 20.

It was all he could fit in his pockets. He took off his shirt and started placing as many as he could counting at least 200 hundred.

"Eh, what's with this guy we just entered to go to the village," a purple dragonkin player muttered passing by him, "Let's just leave him to come on," his dwarf friend said with him.

'Alright ten,' he got up and dusted his hands.

Apex ignored them and headed into the village behind him wandered coming to a potion shop where some players ran out into the forest or spawn area.

He greeted the clerk with a smile, "Hi I'm sorry to be rude, but I was hoping you had a quest or anything I can help with?"

The clerk looked him up and down before nodding, "I do could you please go and search for some bluegrass I'm running low on supply to create potions."

[The clerk needs bluegrass to make potions go and collect 10 pieces of bluegrass for him.]

He accepted the quest and took ten bluegrass from his bag. This quest was one he could repeat at least a hundred times. Of which he did twenty.

Twenty times he gained the hundred exp easily and levelled up. He also gained 100 Bronze which wasn't much as the currency worked as.

1000 Bronze = 1 Silver

1000 Silver = 1 Gold

But he thanked the cleric and left the moment other players started entering the place. He did nothing with his 2 AP points, instead went to a weapon shop.

Entering he was greeted by a dwarf at the counter.

"Welcome to the pointy weapon shop, what can I get you? Oh, a bird folk don't see too many around here especially a pink one how can I be of service."

He greeted the dwarf with a smile, "what can I get for a hundred bronze."

The dwarf closed his eyes, he hummed before answering Apex, "one weapon and one piece of armour clothing or you can exchange that for another weapon."

Not expecting much he smiled, "can I get a spear and a small shield?"

The dwarf nodded before going to the back soon he returned with a black wooden spear and a small round shield.

"That'll be 85 Bronze." Apex paid and equipped the spear and shield, outside he summoned his status.

"I think I'm ready enough," he outside the village into the forest, reaching bushes covered in purple berries.

"Bingpot," he smiled and grabbed as many as he could from the bushes, using his shirt as a makeshift bag essentially going topless.

After some more venturing into the forest, collecting berries and grass, he reached a running river.

"I'm already here."

He followed the river upstream reaching a cave on the opposite side, he crossed the river and hid in a bush not far from the entrance, "The field boss should be in there."

Apex pulled out a couple of berries and threw them on the ground not far from his bush in an arc, "That's step one," he gagged slightly from the smell and covered his beak with his shirt which was a bad mistake making him gag more.

He held one more berry in his hands and reeled back, "Let's do this, hu."

The berry flew into the cave, with that he did everything to bury himself in the bush, but being a pink bird person didn't help.

"Roar! Eurgh!" Loud groans escaped from the cave as thundering steps followed, out from it emerged a six-legged bear with bones for claws.

On its body was the purple berry he threw oozing its evil stench.

Was he gonna fight? Fuck no! He wanted to live, not go on a fucking suicide run. He simply watched as the boss sniffed the air, its nose twitching it tried to move to the river but groaned again.

He now had to wait as the boss tried to make it to the water, but only sniff the air some more and turned away leaving in another direction.

'Yes!' he smiled running in, 'I'll distribute my attributes later, right now...' he stopped reached a pile of dead pelt and bones it was a small pile but at the top was the dead body of an adventurer. He moved quickly and took the pouch from the young man.

"Now the rest of the stuff," he bent down to the collection of bones and pelts he couldn't take much rather there was nothing special only a fang he stuffed in his pocket.

With that he got up and turned to the dead body, 'The quest was to just bring proof of his son's disappearance, but I can get assessed on this...' hurried out of the cave with the boy's body on his shoulder luckily the bear hadn't returned.

He walked his wool clothing smeared in berries, he did this to ward off any monsters. Eventually, he made it to the respawn area.

He felt his body cool slightly as if he could keep on pushing.

He huffed to the gates, the two guards standing on each hurried towards him shouting, "Young Noah! You're alive! You-" the man on the right stopped when he got close enough.

"He died to the boss of the forest of this place please bring me to the chief," he breathed heavier one of the guards nodded and carried the boy running to a far building, he followed behind them.

Seeing the scene, many of the players started talking, "Hey look at this what's going on?"

"Uh? Is this a cut scene?"

"Look at that guy, he's all pink! Haha!" "Don't laugh idiot, something important must be going on, follow come on!"

"Apex? What kind of name is that?" "Shut up bro your name is noobmaster69420."

"Hell yeah, it is!"

The second guard stopped Apex as the first barged into the building, "Please wait while we console with the Chief."

"Of course." He nodded, waited outside, he could feel the gazes of a small group, although they pretended to shop in the market they were doing a shit job.

He spread his wings, so they wouldn't be able to see him and vice versa.

The door opened, and the guards came out, "The chief would like to see you."

Closing his wings, he nodded and walked in, the guards stood at the doors glaring at the crowd.

"How did he get in!?" "The fuck kind of BS is this!?"

Inside the building, Apex walked in through the waiting room and seconds later a well-dressed wolf beastman walked in, he looked aged, and tear stains were visible on his face.

"You must be the one who saved my son, may I know your name?"

"Apex," he shook hands with the chief offering a sombre smile.

"Apex... that is a fitting name for one of the bird folk. I must reward you, please wait a moment." He left the room and came back with a chest and an Item wrapped in cloth.

His eyes jumped, he also unlocked reputation now! 'This is amazing! Damn, what would've happened if I killed the field boss?'

An Uncommon Item is amazing at this stage for all those wondering the stages for Items and drops, White-Trash, Grey-Common, Green-Uncommon, Blue-Rare, Purple-Epic, Silver-Pseudo-Legendary, Gold-Legendary, Orange-Divine, and Red-Mythical.

They were referred by the colours.

"Thank you for this reward, but I only did my duty and I still have to avenge your son's death," Apex smiled, storing the rewards he'll check later.

"I will promise to spread your name to the capital if you ever need anything please come to me and when you manage to slay the Beruga come to me with its heart."

"I won't fail you Chief," Apex bowed the man nodded and raised his hands sending him away.

Outside he sighed and noticed the crowd had vanished, most likely they weren't going to wait while others levelled up. He checked the time.

It's been about three hours in-game, nodding he went to the Inn of the village and rented a room though he wouldn't be here for a day he sat on the bed and checked his status.

With everything he reached level 6 and gained 8 attribute points which he distributed.
