Chapter 7 : False Accusations

Chapter 7 : False Accusations

The woman looked at the paternity test result again, she made sure that what she read was correct. That man is indeed her son.

'I can't believe I already found him!'

And when she realized that the result was positive that the man was indeed her son, she quickly wiped away the tears that fell from her eyes. She spent a decade looking for her twins and now she has found one of them.

Her heart was full of joy and happiness.

"L-Lennon, my love. Wherever you are now, I just hope that you are safe because I have found one of our two children," she whispered while holding the paternity test and tears continued to appear in her eyes.

Many people, especially her family, thought that her twins were dead. But she strongly believes that they are alive, so even though there is no certainty, she does not stop doing the investigation even after several years.

And now, she has found one of her twins. She feels true satisfaction as a mother who has been looking for her children for a long time.

"E-elijah, we will soon be together," she whispered while still crying.

On the other hand, Elijah could hear the two women who were close to him talking. He didn't know if they knew he was hearing what they were talking about.

"Talk to her now, Stella," the woman said with short hair and the cheek of the woman she was talking to with long hair quickly turned red.

"Why would I? I don't want to!" the girl with long hair said in annoyance.

"You have to shoot your shot! Later, another woman will try to approach him," her friend said, causing Stella to take a deep breath before standing up from her seat.

"H-hello," Elijah turned to the speaker and saw a woman with long hair looking at him.

"Yes? Do you need anything miss?" he asked, he is resting now because he has been working for a while.

"Yeah," the woman said and looked away from him. "May I know where the restroom is?"

Elijah raised his eyebrows at what he heard and quickly pointed to the black door. "There, that's the restroom," he answered and the woman quickly thanked him and left.

"Woah, you talked to her?"

He turned to Raiven when he suddenly appeared by his side. "Her? Was it the girl earlier?" he asked and frowned.

"Yeah, that's Stella and she has a crush on you," Raiven answered.

"I don't have time to get into relationships anymore," he murmured.

His friend laughed loudly. "What you should say is that you haven't been able to move on with Mara until now," Raiven said teasingly to him causing him to glare at him.

"Because I can't accept the reason why she broke up with me," Elijah answered. "But maybe because she's rich, she can easily forget me and find someone else."

'And I just hope that I can do that too but I know I can't because I love her too much.'

"That means you don't deserve a woman like her," the man utters.

"It's a good thing because she has a new boyfriend who looks really really rich," Elijah said.

"Her new boyfriend is really rich, man! I heard he's a son of a senator," Raiven said and sighed. "And he's also a doctor."

It's good that her new boyfriend is so rich, so her boyfriend can buy her expensive things and take her to the places she wants to go.

Because Elijah knew in himself that he could not do those things to her.

When the Sunday came Raiven's bar was closed so he decided to look for a new job, he knew he would only work at his friend's bar temporarily because he was still struggling every time he saw his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

"I'm sorry but our company only accepts college graduates so you are not qualified," the woman said to him and he immediately nodded and left.

That was the third time he heard that you need to be a college graduate in order to apply for a job.

He sighed and just sat on a bench he saw.

'I will have a really hard time looking for a job now'

It's really hard to find a job especially since he's not a college graduate, because Flor didn't let him study anymore so he only finished high school.

Even though he really wanted to study, he didn't do anything about Flor's decision not to go to college. Because she said that it is better for him to work so that he can help her and Elijah did nothing but follow what Flor said.

In the end, he didn't find new work and he accepted that he could not find a new job because of the requirements of the jobs he was applying for.

When Monday came he went back to being a waiter at his friend's bar. He was about to leave after placing the wines on the table but he was surprised when a woman with blonde hair suddenly gave him her bag.

"Can you hold my bag for me please? I'll be right back," the woman said and quickly left. Elijah didn't do anything, he just stood up and held the woman's bag, but he was pulled back by a woman bumping into him, causing him to drop the bag.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you!" the woman who bumped into him said and took the bag and handed it to him.

"It's okay," Elijah answered and took the bag, later the blonde woman returned and took the bag from him.

"Thank you so much for holding this," the woman said to him and he just nodded and left to go back to his work but later the blonde girl called him.

"Hey! You stole my phone! Get it out before I call the police here!" the blonde haired woman yell as she glared at him.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" he asked while frowning, a woman came up behind him and took something from his back pocket.

"Girl! He really stole your phone!" the woman said angrily while showing a cellphone from his back pocket. "That's from his pocket!"

'What is she talking about? I didn't steal anything!'

"Look at this? You really stole my phone and yet you won't admit it! I can't believe that I asked you to hold my bag! You're thief!" the blonde haired girl yelled angrily at him.

His lips parted because he couldn't understand how the woman's cellphone ended up in his pocket.
