Chapter Ninety-Six

"I never knew you would agree to talk to me," Miguel told Ava.

They were seated facing each other, with a large table in front of them. The table was filled with different types of food.

"Miguel, I didn't agree to talk to you. I started talking to you."

"What difference does it make?" He asked her.

They both giggled. There was a pause for a few seconds. Miguel took his time to admire Ava as she ate. He wondered why it took her so long to warm up to him. He still could not believe that his talent brought them close. She would probably never talk to him if he didn't have that talent.

"Would you have warmed up to me if you didn't see me drawing that day? I mean, will you even talk to me?"

Ava slowly lifted her head to face Miguel. She was unsure of what would have happened. She didn't know why she was disgusted and irritated at first. She just didn't want to talk to Miguel or have anything at all to do with him.
