Chapter Ninety-Two

Benedict walked into his friend's house. He was already waiting for him before he got there. The two exchanged pleasantries before they settled to discuss.

"Can we talk here?" Benedict asked as he looked around the sitting room.

"I live alone, remember?" Jason reminded Benedict.

He was still looking around the sitting room as he searched the place with his eyes. He was searching for any sign of another person in the house. He was also searching for the maid, too. When he didn't find anything, he turned back to face Jason.

"Where's the maid?" He asked Jason.

Jason hissed loudly.

"What do you think?" He asked. "That she would be around, and I would call you all the way here? Of course, not. I would have come to see you instead."

Benedict nodded in sudden realisation. He didn't even think about that.

"My maid has gone to see her family," Jason informed Benedict. "I gave her a two day break. She has been complaining about the fact that her mom has been sick for a while. I decided
