Chapter Ninety-One

Henry scoffed, he could not believe that his mother was yet to get over this thought.

"Mum, I've told you that I no longer have feelings for Linda, we are already divorced and we are really over now." Henry said and shrugged his shoulders.

He had no idea why he sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than he was trying to convince his mother that he no longer had any feelings for Linda. What if he still did? Why did he get excited when he thought about the board meeting that was coming up soon just before the ball which would mark the official launching of his company.

Henry slapped himself on his forehead to stop the thoughts, but it was already too late because he heard his mother clear her throat, by the time he looked up, it was to find her staring at him with her lips pressed tightly together.
