Chapter One Hundred and Fourteen 

Linda sat behind the limousine as they drove back home from the ball, oblivious of her surroundings and the conversation going on between the other occupants of the car. She was reflecting on the events that transpired at the ball, which happened to be the same with the discussion going on.

"I thought that at least, since we were now partners with the Floater group, we would at least be treated like dignitaries at the ball." James hammered.

"I was hardly even recognised." Catherine fired amidst gritted teeth. "I was just treated like an ordinary guest."

The conversation went on with everybody showing how irritated they were that the Guild family were made to look like ordinary guests at the ball.

Linda could not help but dream about how they would have been treated if she had had ebook patience with Henry and had not listened to her mother and divorced him. She knew that Henry no longer gave a fuck about her, he showed it the day she went to his office to see him, she had been talking
