Chapter One Hundred and Ten

Henry did the last button of his suit at the same time as his phone beeped. He winced and reached out to take the phone which was lying on his table.

His face immediately formed into a frown when he unlocked his phone and noticed who the message was from.

Ava has texted him for the umpteenth time begging to meet up with him and explain things.

"Henry, please, can you stop ignoring me? Let's meet up and talk this out. I beg you, I can explain everything that happened. Just give me a listening ear."

Henry could read the tone of the message, in fact, he could even read the entire text message in her voice.

He scoffed and tossed his phone to a corner and went ahead with his dressing.

What exactly was she trying to explain? Why did she come close to him pretending to like and care about him when she was only trying to ruin him? Or why was she working hand in hand with his enemies to ruin his company? What reason is justifiable enough for her to do that?
