Chapter One Hundred and Thirty Four

Henry swallowed hard and nodded his head.

"You all know why we are here." The man who had been the first person to speak said as soon as the conference room was calm and quiet enough for him to be heard. "And in case you are not aware, I am going to spell it out for you."

He went quiet and looked around the hall. Henry equally made use of that opportunity to look around the hall and took in the facial expression of everybody present there. He tried to read their expression and tried to get something from the look on their faces. The look on their faces would, to a very large extent, determine his fate in the company.

But it was hard to be able to determine what they were thinking, it was hard to be able to tell if he stood a chance of being redeemed.

His hand itched to go around his head and ruffle his hair as a means to show how distressed he was, but he didn't want to show it. He didn't want to appear helpless in front of them, he needed to appear confident.
