Chapter One Hundred and Thirty Six

The silence that followed after Madame Gu's question was nerve wrecking, it was as if an ocean of ice had flown through the environment, thereby forcing everything and everyone to go ice cold.

Henry, who was already terrified with the whole issue, looked up with an ounce of hope, hoping that his mother's influence would be able to save him from the predicament that was about to befall him.

The cop who had shown Henry the printed paper earlier stepped forward and stood in front of Madame Gu. It was easy to see that despite his authority, he still had a little reverence and was in awe of Madame Gu as he looked up at her. Her towering height was enough to scare anyone and make them succumb to her will.

"In as much as I hate the fact that I'm doing this, in as much as I would wish that I would not have to do this, but I'm so sorry, Madame Gu, we have to take your son in. He is the prime suspect in this case and would have to answer for his crimes."
