Dear Readers, I apologize for the very short chapter release at the moment. This might continue until this weekend. Unfortunately, something came up and it take away a lot of my time in writing. I will try to give you a more lengthy chapter in the following weeks. Thank you for understanding. Please wait and see more of Cole's adventures in the future.
My goal became clear when I realize where I am.Leon Muller is looking at the potion warehouses in his private manor.“This world will be different from the earth far… far… different.”(This world will become my oyster, I will do what I want… take what I want and no one will ever stop me.)Leon closes his eyes and remembers his life back on earth.Back on earth, she was unlucky to live in a place where gender was the basis of everything, it dictates the society and who has power or not. That’s why slowly she changes, she adapted to the environment given to her to survive. And in the end, she did fine…In exchange for everything, she just did ‘fine’.It was sad for her, that all that effort was treated as just ‘fine’ and to be fair, she really did everything beyond anyone could expect from her. However, every action she did was met with one eye close. In that hard life, the only escape she had is reading books in between breaks, bringing her to this magical world she always wanted to c
When the earthquake hit Cole immediately started to travel toward Edel. Using Sky and Mylan’s help they arrive at the location without any problem. “It’s been a while since I saw it.” The one who speaks is Alicia. She simply request to see the state of her hometown and not engage in other activities so Cole allowed it. At first, Alicia is concerned because of the deal that he made with Cole upon allowing her to live in Yggdrasil. However, the contract, same as the others, allows her to receive the blessing of Yggdrasil in exchange for their loyalty, and the contract will trigger only if the person made a direct or indirect, planned, way to attack Yggdrasil. This is their initial concern about Alicia, but all her worries go away when Cole explains to her about her contract. “There was a field of flowers back then.” She pointed at an open field in a distance. (But there is nothing there, just grass… grass and more grass.) “Then when we are kids, we play at that place.” Then i
“Papa? What kind of adventure are we going to do today?”Cole looks at Lily. The little girl with green vine hair skips while in the middle of the forest. Cole shook his head. “Unfortunately, we are just going to look around we will not hunt down monsters this time.” “Owwww…” Lily looks dejected and she looks at the sky. It was covered with branches and leaves from the nearby trees and the sunlight reflected on her face with the shadows of the leaves. Lily then smile and nodded. “I think it's alright!~ Jewel and Viper are still asleep, I want to have adventures with them together with Papa, we can do the ‘boring’ stuff for now.” (Boring!?) Lily looks happy as she skips ahead. Cole cannot accept what he heard so he looks at the person… dream creature, beside him. But Crystal didn’t have a reaction, she was just walking calmly in the forest. (Boring!? Is saving the world boring? Hehe... Well I'm the only one who know about this things.) Cole wasn’t hurt or anything on Lily'
'Papa! He began to move!' 'He is now going down the stairs...' 'Oppps! He falls down the stairs, Papa.' 'He is now crawling.' 'Papa that guy looks very weak, he is now out of breath.' Lily continues to monitor Faust's movement. 'Papa... He going out now.' Gasp! Cole has been waiting for several hours since learning that Faust is already awake inside the mansion, he knew what is going to happen so... he waited because wanted to see Faust with his own two eyes. And now he saw the man in front of his very eyes. Thump! Thump! Cole's hearts start beating fast. He is excited, overjoy and he is holding himself so hard not to shout or make any reaction. In every story, there is always your favorite character, and for Cole here he is.... in front of him. A thin, sickly, white man came out of the mansion and began walking towards the cave as soon as he saw it. Faust looks like he was going to fall down anytime soon. (It's him, really him!) The embodiment of loneliness. The embo
Faust continues the journey toward the deeper part of the cave. Even though he experienced a cycle of a nightmare, Faust didn't flinch. Some people might immediately run away and left the cave, but Faust is different, he builds up the courage to walk inside the cave. What he gained in the first trial is strength, though it is not physical, it basically strengthens his mind. The ability to accept death is something that few people have and Faust just earned it after the first trial. With that newfound courage, he dives deeper into the cave until he reaches the second trial. If the first trial is about fear, the second trial is about regret. That is right! In the middle of the empty room, Faust walks into the middle of it where a small platform is sitting. Faust was immediately engulfed by the illusion. He saw various things and events, and it flashes around him. The first event that he saw was about the little cat that he discovered in the village. He was so fond of it that
The third trial begins as soon as Faust died. The magic tool installed inside the room activated and a magic spell commence. This magic is a bit special, for this magic brings Faust's soul into a certain place. A dark place, a place where souls were trapped, a place where sadness and pain can be felt. Faust woke up, he look at his body, the structure is just the same, however... he cannot feel it. His body is also semi-transparent. He tried to touch his body with his hands, it just pass thru. Then his hands then flew to his face but… There is no luck. It passes right thru like there is only air instead of his face. But that’s not all. He is also confused about what happened. He tries to recall the events and came to the conclusion that he died... somehow. Accepting his death, he decided that this is the afterlife. However, even though he realized this, he didn’t feel sad. He died, but he didn’t feel sad. Instead… He felt angry… for the first time, it surfaced. He felt
Cole put his hand on chest. ‘Phew… nothing happened… Good!’ He then looks around the area, looks at the mansion and then glances at the nearby trees. ‘I think it is safe right now… yeah… I have nothing to worry about.’ He then glances at Lily who is playing with the yellow wild flowers near the mansion. Relieved as he is, he began to move to walk away and go home. As soon as he turns a corner. He notices a noble young man wearing an elegant suit. He looks handsome and attractive, and he exudes a confident and distinguished aura. He stands next to an old horse that looks familiar to Cole. Cole stops in his tracks, with a surprise on his face, as he gazes upon the man and the horse from a distance. His eyes widen in surprise as he recognizes something special about the horse: it is the same horse described in his book! Carefully making sure not to be too obvious. Cole takes on a few steps closer to get a better look at it but still keeps his distance. The man speaks soft
In the story, Faust was swallowed by the illusion though it didn’t hurt him physically. The illusion enhances the feeling of ‘regret’. Unlike the first trial, a made-up story, the second trial is about looking back at the past. The person who will be under this trial remembers… will be shown every event in his life and every ‘regret’ in that scenario. Even the most minor event will not be skipped and the worst thing is… under the second part of the trial, the ‘feeling’ of ‘regret’ will be boosted. Faust, cannot escape this. No instead, he looks into it. Embrace this scene but instead of ‘regret’ what he felt is longing. Especially on the days, when he spends his time with his family and lovable animals. But this feeling didn’t escape the ‘properties’ of the illusion. The feeling of ‘longing’ doubles. But Faust pushes through. In his mind, he wanted everything to stop. He wanted to be with his pet, to close his eyes and simply lay down and rest. He wanted to remember the d
