Alpha watched the border of the two kingdoms with the rest of his group. After Lucas had given them the order to observe the border and make sure that none of the enemy soldiers or anything else would cross into the kingdom.

All of them had split up to make sure that they had covered all the area. For the time being, he hasn't seen any unusual activity from the other kingdom which put his mind at ease for the moment as it meant that the danger that his master has thought of hasn't happened yet.

He trusts his master and knows that if he has said that a danger is coming, then it will be coming. But for the master to not know what the danger is means that the problem is something that might be hazardous to them all.

He is sure that they are very powerful, but he also doesn't want to be too arrogant about it as he knows that it might lead to his death. It was one of the first things that was taught by their master to them when he was teaching them about fighting.

Thinking that they can't be defeated is a fatal mistake and if they aren't careful then they have a high chance of being killed. He stressed the need to be always vigilant on missions, and only relax when you are extremely sure that you are in a safe area, but even then, they are not supposed to let their guard down.

Alpha is very grateful towards his master for giving them the opportunity to get stronger like this. Especially since orphans like him and the rest don't have anything to their name and they don't know how orphanages would treat them.

Not to mention the skills that he had taught them has also made them abled enough that they will be able to live in society without much of a problem. Of course, he and the others decided to continue serving him as they wanted to give their gratitude to their saviour.

As he thought that he surveyed the area for any movement or suspicious activity, but he didn't find anything which put his mind at ease. Though he knows that the danger that his master foresaw is real, he is at least glad that the danger will not be happening right now, as it would be a problem for them.

"It seems that everything is fine in the border. There aren't any soldiers and no unusual activities, at least in this area." Alpha muttered to himself as he watched the place to no avail.

'I just hope that it is the same with the others as well.' Alpha thought to himself as he moved from the place to see at a different angle.

The others who had scattered to keep an eye on the place also didn't find anything different and so after watching the border for a lengthy amount of time, they regrouped in the agreed time as they met with each other.

They had a discussion about it and all came to the conclusion that the danger that Lucas was talking about hasn't arrived yet.

"This means that we might have more time to prepare." Alpha said serious as he stood with the rest of the group.

"Yes, we should inform Lord Lucas of this." Beta said seriously as he had thought about it.

"That is a good plan. Delta, go and inform Lord Lucas about this." Alpha said to him seriously.

"Got it. I will go and inform him immediately." Delta said with a nod as he then ran to relay the message.

"The rest of us will continue the surveillance and make sure that we find any unusual activities in the border." Alpha said to the rest of them as they nodded.

They scattered again as they made for their positions to keep an eye on the border and make sure to take note of any unusual activities. All the while being unaware of the cloaked man watching their moves from the sky.

The man then turned to look at Delta who is making his way to Lucas to relay the information, oblivious to the fact that his and his companions movements have been under the scrutiny of a foe that they weren't aware of.

"I shall see to it that you grow into someone who is useful to me Lucas." The man said with a smile on his face as he vanished from the place.

Delta meanwhile just went towards his master's place as he managed to reach the area as he stopped near the walls of the mansion. He then evaded the guards and reached the mansion as he looked at the room of his Master. But to his confusion he didn't see his master there. He then looked at the other rooms and furrowed his eyebrows at not being able to find Lucas.

'Perhaps he is not home at the moment. Perhaps he is at the home of that demigoddess. Still cannot believe that he actually managed to do that, but then again, it is Lord Lucas, so he must've managed to do something about it.' Delta thought to himself as he moved away from the house.

He then left the place and went towards the location of the house that had been given to Aslaug by Lucas. He also remembered halfway there that the woman from the enemy army is also in there, he just hopes that she is truly loyal, otherwise she will have to be killed, after all, she knows about the demigoddess which is very sensitive information.

Of course, he doesn't believe that the woman is foolish enough to actually do something stupid like that. Not when she knows the strength of Lucas and Aslaug. But it wouldn't hurt to be cautious about it.

As he mused about it, he reached the house of the demigoddess and then went to the side of it while hiding himself from the people and looked inside, and saw Lucas sitting in the room with Kriemhild and Aslaug.

But before he could announce his arrival, he was looked at by both his Lord and the demigoddess, as Lucas and Aslaug looked straight at him through the window as he froze in place. Kriemhild who noticed the direction of their gazes looked at him and she herself froze at the sight of the boy spying on them.

But he didn't have to worry as Lucas signalled for him to come inside as he graciously accepted the offer and climbed through the window and closed it and drew the curtains before he made his way to them as he was eyed by Aslaug and Kriemhild suspiciously.

"Delta, how is the watch over the border?" Lucas asked as he wanted to get straight to it.

"We haven't spotted any unusual activities and no soldier movements currently. It appears that we still have time to make necessary preparations." Delta said to him seriously and respectfully.

"Is that so? Well, we will need the time to do that. Keep an eye on the border. I will need to make a visit to the capital and talk with the princess." Lucas said seriously as he sat there.

"Do you plan to involve the royal family?" Kriemhild asked in surprise.

"From what I understand, this danger will be a deadly one for me. I do not know if the danger is only for me or the entire kingdom, but it is better to be cautious and prepared, than to be taken off guard." Lucas said to her seriously.

"You care a great deal about what happens to the kingdom." Aslaug said as she looked at him.

"This is the land I was born in. And these are the people that live in my territory and the ones who look up to me and my clan for their protection and peace. I have to answer at least some of their expectations." Lucas said with a small smile.

Aslaug and Kriemhild looked at him before they nodded while Delta smiled at the words of his Master.

"Delta, go and keep watch just like I said. But be extra careful and always alert for magic. There is a strong mage in Sweden and we do not know his capabilities, so practice great caution." Lucas said to him seriously.

"Yes my lord. We will not fail you." Delta said seriously before he left the place and went towards his comrades.

"He is quite rude though. He didn't even introduce himself to us." Aslaug said as she crossed her arms in annoyance.

"I'll make sure to get you acquainted with him and his group. But the situation is dire at the moment so he has to be quick. He and my trusted, already knows about both of your origins." Lucas said to them with a small smile.

"You..." Aslaug said with narrowed eyes at that.

Kriemhild however didn't mind it as her origins aren't anything special, though she hopes that they won't judge her based on her former allegiance.

'So we have some time. Well, I have to get to the capital quickly and inform Olivia about this. Let's just hope that we will be able to stave off the more disastrous parts of the danger.' Lucas thought to himself as he sat on the chair and contemplated it.

I was very confused when I awoke in this body but thankfully since I had already matured by that time I was able to adapt quickly. I quickly learned that I was in the 6th century in the country of Norway. I also came to know that I am the son of a duke and holds significant power in the kingdom. But that didn't mitigate the fact that I had now lost my previous life, all that hard-work I put in gone.' Unfortunately for the merchant he was ambushed by bandits but fortunately for Lucas he was in the area going through his training when it happened. He saved the man and defeated the bandits and the merchant in response was quite pleased with him. After that the two of them would see each other from time to time as the merchant had taken quite a liking to Lucas due to him saving his life and him being much different than the other nobles. While Alvis was a good businessman he isn't treated that greatly by the other nobles due to him not being from a noble family in the country. Due to this he had taken quite a liking to Lucas due to him treating him like any other person. He liked him even more when he saw Lucas' potential in the business department.Lucas

Lucas then read the letter again carefully before he burned both the envelope and letter with magical fire to ensure no one knows about it. He then sat on his couch as he thought about all the information he had gotten. Though it wasn't much he was someone who believed that knowledge is power and is needed if one needs victory.'If what I know about both kingdom's is true then it will not be much time before they go to war with eachother. There's going to be many casualties in the war and maybe some of the members of the noble families might perish at the war. If that happens then I might be able to use that chance to increase the strength of my own clan.' Lucas thought to himself. Then he thought about the tension between the two kingdoms about the piece of land which both are debating for. That particular information stuck in his mind.'Wait, if both the kingdoms are focusing on that particular land then doesn't that mean the other territories aren't under that tight supervision. If

Both heirs looked at eachother. Lucas with a neutral look while Oskar had an arrogant grin. Their armors were quite different as well. Oskar was wearing armour that showed his noble heritage and made him look good. Lucas meanwhile had worn plain armor over chainmail. Lucas had a longsword while Oskar had on his hip a decorated longsword. The nobles started to mutter amongst themselves when they saw the way the two heirs dressed. Many complimented Oskar for his great looking armor which showed his noble blood. But the nobles were staring and muttering disapprovingly at Lucas's choice of armor as it was very plain and made him look like any normal soldier."Why is he wearing armour like that?" "He should wear something more fitting of his status.""He looks more like a commoner than a noble." Those were the kind of chatter that was going around the nobles. As for the royal family, they were mostly curious about Lucas's choice of armor as nobles usually wore more extravagant armor. Osk

Lucas said to them as he looked at the two women. "Wait, what kind of spell is that?" Kriemhild asked in surprise at hearing that. "That is a spell that I had discovered in the past, but for it to be activated means that it is going to be very dangerous. Not to mention, the chance of me dying is also high." Lucas said causing the two to look at him in surprise. "Truly?" Kriemhild asked in surprise, an emotion which was also mirrored by Aslaug. Eske frowned as he sat on his throne as the last defeat of their kingdom against their enemy country of Norway. He had thought that they would have been able to beat the kingdom with the dragons that they have with them, and considering the fact that he has his own court mage, he was fairly certain that they would have been able to defeat the army. But the sudden arrival of that boy and his help in the war changed the tides causing them to lose the war and the two dragons. He was obviously displeased with what had happened as he had just lost to their enemies which will be a blow to the pride of his family. But he is also a bit relieved as they have managed to come to an agreement which isn't too exploitive. The fact that the contract was good enough to allow for them to maintain their rule was a good thing, even if they have to give the other kingdom money monthly and also have to give up the rights of the crystal cave as well. There was also the fact that it took a lot of thei

    Chapter 48

Lucas looked at the Alpha who is standing in front of him seriously as the man is looking at him a bit nervously while being looked at by Lucas very seriously. Lucas is the de facto leader of the boys and when he isn't leading them and giving them jobs then it's his duty to make sure that they work correctly. "So you got nothing unusual to report?" Lucas asked him seriously as he sat in his chair. "No sir. We did a check just as you had told us to, but we haven't found anything unusual happening inside the country. Even in the other noble families or around the royal palace." Alpha said to him seriously with a nod. Lucas narrowed his eyes at that as he reclined on the chair he is sitting on as he closed his eyes and thought about it. The runes are really useful and powerful ones which acts like it when a great danger to the user is afoot. Which is the reason why he had decided to use it on himself so that he will be able to know if there is going to be danger to him. So he is

"My Lord, is this truly the right course of action." A soldier asked Eric as the group of soldiers were walking through a cave tunnel. "Yes. The soldier's flinched at his glare as they knew that they couldn't and shouldn't do anything that might anger him. "Now that's a good boy." Lucas said as he was petting Falkor. He is currently flying with the wyvern as he wanted to make sure that he had the ability to fly freely without anyone being afraid of it attacking. Even if he is his wyvern, the people will naturally be scared about a creature of its size. But he didn't mind it that much as he enjoyed flying with Falkor, as it was a way for him to be alone from his otherwise noble life. It is good, he will admit and having people around him and treating him with respect is a good thing, but sometimes he just wants to be left alone to enjoy some time alone. He looked at the kingdom from above and it was a bit cloudy so the people probably hadn't noticed them. Not to mention the fact that people don't usually look up so it would work in his favour. He has also been having his boys keep a watch around the kingdom for any kind of suspicious movement. Considering how the prince has acted, he doesn't want to let down his guard in case the

    Chapter 45

Eric threw the glass of alcohol across the room as it shattered after hitting the wall as the four maids who were serving him flinched from the violent action as they looked at him with slight fear. But the prince himself didn't care about their reactions as he had a pissed off expression as he glared at the wall. "My reputation has been tarnished and that damned boy is hailed as a hero!" Eric shouted in anger as the maids flinched again from his loud voice. After the end of the war, Eric's reputation in the kingdom had plummeted, no surprise that it has happened of course, as it was him who had decided to start the war with the other country. And their country has lost the war and was humiliated and lost two dragons under their control. And have also been shown to be inferior to their enemy, which has hurt the sentiments of many of the country as well. The other noble families of the kingdom were also of the same mind as they didn't like the fact that they had been defeated,
