Funeral

.Luc sat with his hand holding the tombstone that said Nani Low, his eyes filled with tears as the image of their togetherness invaded his brain's internal memory like a tape being replayed in slow motion.

"Mom, now you are no longer in pain, you are at peace in the afterlife, I am here to avenge everyone who has ever said bad things about you, I will avenge those who have bullied me all this time." Luc's eyes turned sharp as if they were showing his determination to take revenge.

"I have done what Mr. Lucifer ordered," said Alan who had been standing beside Luc.

"Good, I will start this revenge from her." Luc spoke with a devilish grin.

Luc lowered his head sadly when he found out that Ruby did not come to Nani's funeral. Luc had thought that only Ruby would care about him, but that turned out to be wrong. But the next second Luc changed his mind after listening to Alan's report about Ruby's absence from this funeral.

"I saw Miss Ruby at the funeral, but when Miss Ruby was about to approach Mr. Luciver at the right time, Mrs. Merta came and forced her to come to the Crowwel family mansion."

“This grudge has started, I will destroy it.” After speaking, Luc walked away from the cemetery.

Not a single member of his wife's family came to pay their last respects to Nani! His wife's family members consider Nani's death no more valuable than the death of the Crowwel family head's beloved dog. Luc still remembers very clearly when Mr Crowwel's beloved dog died, the family members even held a special funeral and wore all black, they looked very sad.

Gabe and Carrol stopped in their tracks in the middle of the living room. The two people felt all the fine hairs on their bodies bristling so perfectly, fear suddenly enveloped both of their hearts.

“Gabe, do they all know that the new leader of the Lekston company refuses to discuss business with me?” Carroll asked nervously, cold sweat was even covering his forehead now.

“It seems so judging from the expressions they show,” Gabe said honestly.

“Gabe, I’m afraid to see Grandpa’s gaze,” Carrol said with both hands clasped together.

The sound of Grandpa’s walking stick getting closer made Carrol tremble with fear, he lowered his gaze with an anxious heart. Carrol was so confident that he could sign a contract with the Lekston company, but who would have thought that the mysterious company leader would want Ruby to talk business with him.

Carrol glanced there, he saw Ruby staring at him sharply, Carrol’s two hands were clenched so tightly, he really didn’t like Ruby and wished he could destroy her.

Ruby and Carrol used to be so close, but all that changed when Carrol found out that the man he liked actually fell in love with Ruby. Ruby rejected the man’s declaration of love, but Carrol still hated Ruby to this day.

“Grandpa, forgive Carrol for not being able to get the contract, because.” Carrol’s voice hung in the air when he saw Grandpa raise one of his hands, Carrol closed his eyes very tightly, preparing himself to receive a blow from his Grandpa.

The sound of the slap echoed in the room, but Carrol didn't feel anything, he slowly opened his eyes and saw that one of Gabe's cheeks had a palm print.

“Why did Grandpa slap me?” Gabe asked with one hand holding the painful slap mark.

“I told you to accompany Carrol to the Lekston company, but you stupidly dared to offend the main heir of the Lekston company.” The middle-aged man spoke with his eyes completely round, veins of anger bursting out of his neck.

“Grandpa, how could I dare to offend the heir of the Lekston family, this is slander, Gabe would never have done it if he didn’t believe Grandpa could ask Carrol, from morning until now Gabe has always been with Carrol.” Gabe turned to Carrol, asking him to help talk to Grandpa.

“What Gabe just said is true, Grandpa. Gabe didn’t offend anyone,” Carrol said with cold sweat filling his palms.

“Do you think Mr. Alan, who is the Lekston family’s confidant, is lying about this?” After speaking, Grandpa stared at Carrol sharply. “You don’t interfere!”

Not wanting her daughter to get involved in the problem, Carrol’s mother immediately pulled her daughter away.

“Gabe really didn’t offend anyone, Grandpa. Gabe swears,” after speaking Gabe thought for a moment then looked at Grandpa when he remembered something. When Gabe was about to speak suddenly the sound of someone’s footsteps entered this room.

All the big members looked at Luc’s arrival with hatred, Luc’s arrival made the situation in this mansion even worse.

Gabe stared at Luc from head to toe, there was nothing that reflected that Luc was a rich person, in fact Luc’s clothes looked more like a bum on the side of the road, there was even funeral mud still stuck under his shoes.

“Grandpa, I was just looking for trouble with that trash, there’s no way that trash is the heir of the Lekston family,” Gabe said while pointing at Luc using one of his fingers.

Grandpa got even angrier listening to Gabe’s unreasonable words, he slapped Gabe’s other cheek again.

Gabe stared sharply at Luc, the next second the cellphone in his pants pocket vibrated, Gabe took the cellphone roughly and read the short message sent by Liu.

‘Mr. Gabe, the company’s stock has dropped drastically, even all investors have unilaterally terminated their cooperation with our company, the company is on the verge of bankruptcy.’ The text message sent by Gabe’s confidant.

Gabe stared at Luc who was grinning. Was that man the mastermind behind all this, there was no way this was just Gabe’s hallucination.

“This is just the beginning Gabe,” Luc thought to himself then looked around at everyone in the room with a sharp gaze that radiated the fire of revenge.
