Luc's Revenge

"Gabe, do I look beautiful today?" Carrol asked while brushing some of her hair behind her ear with a graceful movement

Gabe examined Carrol's appearance from her toes to the top of her head before answering. "You are very beautiful, perfect, graceful and charming."

"You praise too much," Carrol said with a satisfied smile

"I'm just trying to be honest," Gabe replied.

"Gabe, is that really the useless son-in-law of the Crowwel family?" Carrol said while narrowing his eyes.

"You're right, what is that trash doing here," Gabe said while walking quickly towards Luc who had just come out of the elevator specifically for the company's leaders.

"Gosh, he even dares to use a private elevator, is he blind," Carrol said with half a voice stuck in his throat.

Luc who was in a hurry did not realize the presence of Gabe and Carrol. Luc was shocked when his hand was pulled roughly by someone, before Luc had time to look at the person suddenly two hard slaps landed on one of his cheeks, making the corner of Luc's lips bleed.

"Trash! How dare you act so impudently by using the special elevator for the leader of the Lekston company, your actions could have a big impact on the Crowwel family.” Without asking, Gabe immediately attacked Luc in front of everyone.

Gabe hit Luc with full force, he acted like a hero in front of everyone. Gabe was even more satisfied when he saw Luc did not retaliate, he thought Luc was weak and could not fight him, but what actually happened was that Luc did not want to fight back.

Luc clenched both fists as if he was holding back his emotions there. His thumb wiped the red liquid that came out of the corner of his lips while giving Gabe an intimidating look.

“I will make sure you regret it.” Luc made a sound from between his tightly closed teeth.

Gabe was not afraid of Luc’s threat, he laughed insultingly. “Trash, what can you do, you are like invisible dust under my expensive shoes, you bastard.”

Luc’s hand quickly grabbed Gabe’s wrist, preventing the man from punching his face. Carrol opened his eyes in surprise because Luc fought back and this was the first time it happened, usually Luc would bow like a scared little cat, but not this time.

Gabe's body froze for a moment, not expecting Luc to dare to fight back.

"My mother is in critical condition, I have to go to the hospital now, don't stop me." Luc spoke with a trembling voice on the tip of his tongue, as if hiding the sadness that was inside.

Luc already knew that the woman he had always called Mother was just a servant assigned by Abraham to look after him, but all that reality did not change Luc's affection for Nani.

“Just let that sick woman die, why are you taking such a hard time taking care of her,” Gabe said with an evil grin. This man had no compassion at all, he was always arrogant like this.

Luc’s patience was running out now, his blood seemed to boil after hearing Gabe’s words! Luc had clenched one of his hands ready to punch Gabe’s very annoying face, but at the same time Luc’s cellphone in his pants pocket vibrated.

“It seems like it’s the hospital that will give news that the woman has died peacefully.” Without any feelings, Gabe actually had fun on the suffering that Luc was going through.

Luc ignored Gabe’s words, he would take care of this man later. Luc immediately pressed the green button on his crappy cellphone. Luc’s eyes were filled with tears with his body shaking violently when he heard the news that Nani had died. Luc roughly dropped his knees to the floor with his head bowed.

“As my last respect for your mother, please scatter this candy along with her funeral flowers.” Gabe threw five candies in front of Luc.

“Gabe, you’re so outrageous,” Carrol said, holding back laughter.

Everyone passing by felt sorry for Luc, but some of them laughed at his misfortune.

Gabe and Carrol laughed as Luc picked up the five candies from the floor. Luc wiped the clear liquid from the corners of his eyes, then stood up straight in front of Gabe.

“I don’t need these five candies! Keep them for yourself, maybe later they’ll be the only ones you’ll have.” After speaking, Luc walked away.

“You piece of trash! How dare he insult me like this.” Gabe threw away the candies that Luc had put in his jacket pocket.

“That guy’s been getting more and more brazen lately, I don’t know where he got his luck to fight you,” Carrol said, provoking Gabe to retaliate against Luc.

“I’ll make sure he gets kicked out of the Crowwel family home as soon as possible.” Gabe spoke while clenching his jaw in anger.
