Chapter 124- No help?

Avery's stomach dropped, and her hands began to shake. Jeremy's eyes began to harden instantly. Without a word, they both rushed to the school parking lot, frantically searching for any sign of their daughter.

The parking lot was filled with vehicles, but none of them resembled the one that the student had described to the teacher. Avery was beginning to panic, her mind racing as she tried to figure out what had happened to Mia.

"We have to call the police," she said, her voice trembling. "Whoever took Mia might be long gone by now."

But Jeremy wasn't ready to give up. "Not yet," he said, his eyes darting around the parking lot. "We need to talk to the student who saw her. Maybe they can give us more information."

As they searched, the sound of a car engine caught their attention. They turned just in time to see a black sedan speeding out of the parking lot, its tires squealing as it accelerated.
