Chapter 40- The black card.

"This man must be insane if he thinks he can use us to further his goals," yelled one of the onlookers. "How can he claim to have such an enormous amount of money and yet act so modestly?"

Jeremy, who had just presented the cashier with the credit card, remained unfazed by the crowd's reaction. His expression was calm and collected, exuding a sense of confidence that seemed to mock the onlookers' skepticism.

Jeremy's eyes were locked onto the cashier's hands, which trembled slightly as she held the credit card. Clearly, she was the only person in the store besides Jeremy who understood the immense value of the card.

Her gaze darted to Jeremy, her face betraying disbelief at the sight of such a simple-looking man possessing such an extraordinary piece of plastic.

In her mind, the cashier questioned how a man of such average appearance could have come into possession of such a priceless card. She had only seen one other person with such a card, and he had been a man of great wealth.
