Chapter 39- Mockery

Jeremy's declaration thundered through the air like a lightning bolt, electrifying the onlookers and silencing the whispers that had been circulating only moments before.

The crowd gasped, their collective shock rippling through the store. The cashier, her face a mask of shock, stammered, "A-all of section 56? Sir, are you sure?"

"I've never been more sure," Jeremy replied, his voice ringing with conviction.

"Ring up the purchase," he instructed, his gaze meeting the cashiers. "My wife deserves the best."

A hush fell over the crowd, the onlookers staring at Jeremy with a mix of awe and disbelief. But he paid them no mind, his attention focused solely on the task at hand.

The crowd buzzed with confusion, their questions reverberating through the store like wildfire.

"Has Jeremy lost his mind?"

"Does he even know what he's doing?"

"How could a taxi driver possibly afford to buy an entire section of high-end clothes? He can't even afford the dress, let alone the whole section!"
