chapter 237- Ruthless Bradley

In the heart of the Kaiden mansion, the old man fumed, his face flushed with anger. "What's the hold-up?" he demanded, his voice booming with frustration. "I'm expecting a raid from those damn Nathaniels any minute now. Why aren't they making their move?" he bellowed, spinning to face his men, Bradley included, who stood nervously before him.

The air in the room was tense, the undercurrent of panic was obvious. Bradley stepped forward, his demeanor respectful but uneasy.

"We've had no reports of any activity from the Nathaniels, sir," he said, his voice low and steady. "Perhaps they are biding their time, or waiting for the right opportunity to strike."

The Kaiden patriarch's scowl deepened. "Or perhaps they are simply cowards," he growled. "They think they can best us by waiting, by outsmarting us. They are wrong."

"We must be vigilant, sir," Bradley urged, doing his best to temper his boss's anger. "If they are planning something, we must be ready to defend ourselves."
