CHAPTER 70

Jude busted into the room immediately after eavesdropping a bit on the conversation between Rico, Marcus, and Paul.

He bowed his head upon entering the room, his hands clasped in silent prayer as his mind raced with desperate thoughts.

Paul’s face twisted into a mask of unforgiving fury as he saw Jude. It soon dawned on him that helping Sarah would mean that he would be helping the husband of his ex-wife. Jude seemed to have returned from prison with even more stubbornness, especially with his so-called alliance with Monarch Thompson.

Why then would Jude deserve his kindness even though it seemed like the right thing to do? He couldn't possibly watch Sarah die in labor but seeing Jude reminded him why he needed to be stern or at least act like he was going to be cruel.

“Oh, you are finally here,” Paul said, his face tinged with anger as his kindness seemed to be fading away. “Let's see how much of a man you are perhaps you might want to watch your wife labor in pain without any help.
