Chapter 6: Villains of his life

Lina took him directly to his room, which of course belonged to Andrien, the former heir to the Smith family.

" Is this your young master's room? Seems like his habits are expensive to complete ", Jonas said in amazement.

The whole room was decorated with expensive lights and furniture, so beautiful. He never saw such a luxury in his whole life.

" He is the heir of the Smith family, and the next owner to the Smith Group. So how can his habits be cheap? ", Said Lina in a comforting small tone.

Compare to the whole mansion, his room was much more unique and different in many aspects. The floor was built of pure marble, interior and everything in this room costs millions of thousands of dollars. Every little thing was more than five digits in expense. And all of these belong to Andrien Smith.

Jonas could not believe it in his eyes, was he really inside the most luxurious mansion? The one that almost every individual and rich want to be in. His luck surely was on his side right now.

Lina finally accomplished her mission, she could now sleep without any worries.

They were just having a small talk when suddenly someone knocked on the door. Lina glanced towards the door and spotted a maid standing at the door.

" Come in ".

The maid walked in and stood there with the food plate in her hands.

" Place the plate here and leave ", Said Lina in a cold tone.

The maid nodded, put the plate on the side table, and then left.

Lina got up, picked up the food plate, and stood in front of him. " Here, have something before you go to sleep ".

Jonas accepted the food which was no less than any luxury. It was an oil-toasted sourdough bread with oven-baked garlic in olive oil spread on top like a sauce, cottage chees spread on top and topped with sundried tomatoes, black pepper, and rock salt.

Without waiting for anyone, he started eating. He only has breakfast this morning, so this meal was very important to him.

Lina felt relieved only after seeing him stuff everything in his stomach.

" Now that you have your stomach filled, sleep early, you have been through so much today, so I am afraid you will feel exhausted tomorrow if you don't get enough rest. Plus, you will have a lot to face tomorrow after everyone returns. Goodnight ", Lina rubbed the corners of her both eyes and yawned.

It was Lina who was tired and wanted to leave as early as possible. Finding Jonas was way more difficult than she thought. But at the end of the day, she was satisfied with the result, it was nice to see him back home.

Just when she was leaving, Jonas stopped her as his hand held onto her. Lina turned around to face him, she had nothing but exhaustion on her face right now. " What do you want now? ".

Since he was now hired to act like Andrien Smith, he felt obliged to know everything about the Smith family.

Jonas immediately retracted his hand and smile awkwardly. Lina took the chance to peek out of the room and then close the door, not only that but she even locked it from the inside in case someone tries to eavesdrop on them.

Spotting the chair placed under the study table, she grabbed it and took it to his bed, sitting by the side of the bed on the chair, she signal Jonas to take a seat beside her.

" Let me give you a quick explanation of the characters living in this mansion ", Started Lina.

"8 people are living in this house except you, your father, and your grandfather. Your elder uncle Jaim, his wife Marina, and his son Ricky. There's your father's youngest sister too, her name is Wynn, a very fierce and cunning lady. Of course, your aunty also has a husband who's basically married to her family and is living here from the first of the marriage. Another is your father's mistress, Vivian. Vivian has a daughter name, Ruan, probably the daughter of her first husband. She and your father also have a son together, his name is Felix. So these are eight characters that live in the same house as you ", Said Lina as she gave him a quick introduction and explanation.

Just mentioning the family gave Lina a headache. But it was important to tell him about them since he asked.

" It's a full fledge family. I am sure everyone lives in harmony here ", Jonas assumed on his own that this family was quite harmonious and happy.

" For outsiders, the Smith family is the most harmonious and happy. But in actuality, everyone here wants to kill each other for the inheritance. It's a relief that your grandfather has made you his heir, that's why everyone is still acting like they love each other ", Said Lina as she patted his shoulder.

Harmony and unity were just a front, but inside everything was fucked up. The happier the Smith family appears on the outside, the more chaotic and fierce it was behind the scenes, pretty dark.
