Turned the billionaire overnight

Chapter 6

        Shadrach looked at her and realized that this was an opportunity for him. At least just this once for his status to change.

He looked at her and wondered if she was saying the truth. She looked so serious. It then made him realize that no matter what happened, he knew he had nothing else to lose. All he was was just a poor, looking person that was just too heartbroken. So, if, anything wanted to happen, at most, the only way he would face the consequences was if he was arrested and yet, he was ready for all of that.

" Fine, I agree to the mission but then…" he was about to say something when he was interrupted by the blasting sound that erupted from his phone. Looking at the phone screen, his eyes widened in shock at who was calling. His boss had called him three times and this was just the fourth time he was seeing this.

Goodness! He said and realized that he was already late for work. He hurriedly picked up the call and closed his eyes as he waited for his yelling and scoldings.

" You've found another job, right? And that's why you think it's high time for you to slack?" He suddenly blasted all over the phone as soon as he picked it up.

" Sir, I was just…" just before he could say anything else, he was caught short by the sudden hanging up of the phone. He looked at the phone and his heart suddenly seemed as if it would thump out of his chest.

He realized that the time was far spent and they would have closed for work today. He knew that if he did not leave, all hell would let loose the next day.

He hurriedly rushed out of the car when his lawyer walked up to him.

" I know everything was just too sudden but let me give you a ride to your destination, okay." She said and held his hands. At this moment, it was already five minutes since his boss had called, and yet, he was working with time. He had to be there on time and yet, this again was taking another turn.

" Nevermind about that. I will just make sure that I take a cab and.."

" From the look of things, you're late and it doesn't seem like the cab would speed all because of you. They would always want to stop by to go with more passengers. Why don't you just try to come with me? I promise we will get there within a few minutes!"

He sighed and nodded as he walked back inside the car while she drove him over to where he was. He was panicking the moment he got inside the office door and was about to come inside when he realized that his boss was on a call. He wanted to leave when something seemed to catch his fantasy.

" Of course, you don't have to worry about that stupid fool. I will make sure to fire him as soon as I see him today! I have always hated his guts too, you don't have to worry about that!" He said which made him wonder who it was.

" Yeah, I will surely fire him for sure. I have told you to put your trust in me! Yes! I have spoken with him earlier and once he's around, I will just say whatever I want to say for him to just get out!" He said and smiled as he was about to say something else when he entered at that moment.

The moment his boss saw him, He looked at him angrily and hurriedly brought his phone to his mouth.

" Let me call you later, okay?" He said and ended the call while he looked at him in horror and in despise. What's he doing here again? He thought as he looked at him with scorn.

If only Mike knows how much he was being despised, maybe he would have already left a very long time ago!

" And what the hell are you doing here?" He asked him harshly.

" Sir…."

," I am not your boss again, now, leave? I have got other important things to do, okay?" He said rudely.

           But then, he became very calm with him and would not want to fight him for any reason. It seemed to the manager that he was just observing all that was going on and did not want to fight or argue!

At that moment, Shadrach knew that even if he begged him and asked him to stay that he would make sure to forgive him, and he would never leave. He had never been so nice to him and he had always seemed to make sure that life would be very unbearable for him.

But then, his mind suddenly drifted off to the person that has spoken with his boss earlier. He remembered that the person clearly stated that he should be fired. The last time he remembered, he had never had any beef with anyone and would always make sure that he was on his own. After all, he was doing all he could to make ends meet.

           Then, who would want to do this to him? The funniest part of it was that he did not even know anyone. Then, who would want to throw him a spade he did not throw at anyone?

How dare they? He had never hurt anyone, so, why would they want to do much to him? He thought angrily as he tried to think of whosoever could do that to him but his mind could not even draw any reasonable conclusions.

Someone was behind the reason why he was asked to be fired and he would make sure that he would find out whosoever the person was. The person would never go scot-free and he would make sure to fight even if it's to his last breath which was not even possible.
