Chapter 5

    The moment he heard that statement, he burst into laughter while Cara stared at him. He was still laughing and suddenly stopped laughing and looked at her frowning.

"Hold on, are you here to prank me or what? My head can't grab what you mean!" He asked

" Well, I said what I said. I just don't understand why you don't seem to believe me" She replied to him while he looked at her.

Why would someone suddenly come out of the blues and start to prank him saying he would be a rich man soon when he was as poor as a church rat? He finds it difficult for him to feed himself every day. He needed money urgently

"You don't need anything from me to be rich?"   He asked again while she nodded. He shrugged even if she needed something, it would take little or nothing from him but why she had to play a prank on him that way was not what he seems to understand. He looked at her vividly and realized that she was being serious. But how did she want to make him wealthy?

"Let me tell you a story.

"A story" he chuckled. Fine, am all ears.

     There was a very young boy who was the only son of a multi-billionaire, his father was so much sowed that he had written down his son's inheritance and gifted him a very high amount of money because he doesn't want his son to suffer for the rest of his life. All he wanted was for him to enjoy himself for eternity.

    "One day, he celebrated his son's birthday but his young son ensured that he had his friends invited. It was one of the joyous days for the boy because, seeing his friends, he became so excited and followed them everywhere. Where ever they went, he followed them because he was so much excited to see his friends. They didn't realize that he was already missing because he had followed them outside the venue". And before they could realize what had happened, it was already too late.

     "They searched for him everywhere but did not find him, he was lost. The gravity of this made his father diagnosed with illness because he loved him so dearly and was ready to do anything for him to be found. He hated the fact that he always wanted a son all his life and the only one he has gone missing".

"Goodness! what happened to the boy and the father?" He asked getting so amused by the story.

"The boy was nowhere to be found or heard from again, despite the wealth that the man had, it was not enough to find his son. He was perplexed even after twelve years, he kept on searching for him and did not find him.

He became very lonely, even though he had other people that loved him and treated him like a father, he still missed his biological son. He did not want to believe the fact that he was dead but kept his faith still that his son would be found one day.

"I feel so pity for the father, what later happened? Did they reconsider?"

"Unfortunately, they did not reconsider and days later, the man died of a heart attack. The son has then left with a large inheritance apart from the one he was gifted.

"That would be a waste because the son is nowhere to be found and I wish he could be found soon"

"Yes, I wish but unfortunately the son is now found and he's sitting right in front of me!"

"The son? who?" Where is he? "Looking around," He asked in confusion

"The son is you"

"What! me? He asked in shock. How can he be the son? That is not possible. He knew where he came from his parents were fishermen and could not even afford such an amount of money.

"Yes, you are the lost son that was found"

He was lost in confusion because he was shocked.

"I'm sorry I don't seem to understand what you are trying to say," he said still in shock. How can he be the son of a wealthy who he doesn't seem to be? How can he, who is the son of a fisherman suddenly become so wealthy? How come he was lost? Why can't he recollect any incident that relates to him being the son of a wealthy man? But then, that was not even his problem.

"But how come?..... He asked again. He knew his parent as fishermen and they would not keep any secret from him because he trusted them with anything on Earth. Cara held his hand and smiled.

"You Will understand everything soon when the time comes. All I just want you to do is for you to just listen to me and do as I tell you. You will have to prove that you are a good heir by pleasing the elders".

"The elders?, Who are the elders?

"Oh! That's right you don't know them but they are part of your family. So for now, your immediate cousin is the one managing your father's business while they were waiting for your return by searching for you. All you just have to do is be of a good character".

"Then?" What would happen next?

"Can you please calm down let me do the talking!"

"You will be sent to a university to study business administration for six months I think, but during that period, you would earn a company as an inheritance. You would be the one managing the company and once you manage it well and prove to be yourself a person ready for this business, you will receive more gradually but if you can't prove yourself as a good heir the worst could happen".

"Worst" by what definition worst? He asked

"If you can't prove yourself as a good heir, you could lose everything".
