Turned the billionaire overnight

Chapter 8

       Shadrach just smiled at the words of his manager.

" Is it a crime to sit at the front of the gate of a delivery company"? Or, isn't it his right to sit anywhere he wishes?" He asked

The manager wanted to reply to him but he cuts in sharply.

" Anyone is free to sit anywhere he or she wishes. So, I just decided to sit here since it is not wrong" he said smiling.

     The top management was surprised especially his manager because the way he was laughing was like someone who had intentions. But unknowingly to them, he had his intentions and he was smiling because he knew a drama would unfold soon and this made it more interesting to him.

     The president was very annoyed at Shadrach because the new owner of the delivery company would arrive soon and he doesn't want to mess things up and this made him unhappy. He doesn't know the type of person the new owner may be, he was someone who gets angry easily or, someone who was calm and he was not ready to lose his job.

" Get him out of here" he instructed Mike who was at the edge of the group. Immediately Mike responded with respect. What could he do he was someone who had no qualifications and was a mere manager. 

The president was really unhappy and this made him make his decision for Shadrach to be kicked out right away because, in no time, the new owner of the company would arrive and he doesn't want the new owner to feel uncomfortable or unhappy in any way. He wants to do everything in his power to please the new owner and make him comfortable. He doesn't know the new owner and does not know the kind of person he was and he was not ready to lose his job instead he wants to protect it by not making any mistakes.

" Am sorry for what is going on" Mike apologized to the president who was also annoyed this also made Mike angry and he despised Shadrach badly. He pushed Shadrach away from the top management and punched him in the face. Immediately, Shadrach reacted. His face became cold at the manager's action. He grabbed Mike by the collar and gave him a piece of his word.

" Am not a staff at this company any more, so I would not accept any form of insult from you" he fired back angrily.

      The manager was shocked and he became afraid of Shadrach. The Shadrach he once knew was a foolish and sluggish one who listens to whatever he was being told to do. He became more afraid because the way Shadrach fired back made him realize that he must not do anything stupid or else Shadrach might make him regret and there would be nothing he could do any longer if things get worst. He immediately calmed himself down and spoke with a gentle voice.

" Fine, could you please get out of this place? We are expecting someone important and this might make the person angry seeing you here" Mike spoke with a calm voice.

      Shadrach was surprised at Mike's behavior which suddenly changed cause, he was expecting him to fire back at him but he didn't.

" Wow, things are getting more interesting. So Mike who loves to brag about his position could talk to him in such a manner and not the way he do talk to him before" he thought.

Shadrach was still dazzling in his smile when suddenly Mike cut him in.

" Would you please leave him now?" he said to Shadrach.

Shadrach wanted to use this as an opportunity to make Mike humble himself more.

" I would leave anytime I wish to" he replied still grabbing his collar.

" What exactly do you want?" Mike asked.

Mike knew that if he fails to get Shadrach out of this place he could end up not finding favor in the president's eye he wanted a promotion for his job and he wasn't ready to remain at the same level he is at his job, so he has to do everything in his power to make Shadrach leave. If not for what he wanted from the president to his job, he would have fought with Shadrach and not bothered to talk to him humbly. 

      However, within some minutes, a black Ferrari car was spotted afar and it was coming in the direction of the company. It then stopped at the front of the delivery company gate. It was Cara's car.

The president immediately seeing that it was Cara quickly made a respectful smile and let the other top management to Cara's car.

Mike on seeing this immediately wanted to join the group but realized that Shadrach was still holding his collar.

" Would you please, release me?" He asked humbly.

Shadrach immediately releases Mike's collar and lets him go. Mike was relieved.

" I promise you, immediately am back I would make sure you pay for what you did" Mike threatened Shadrach with his words.

Shadrach only scoffed.

" Did you just scoff to mock me? Wait for a little while when am back I would make you pay for real" he threatened angrily. 

He immediately joined the line of top management to greet the new owner, to avoid trouble.

" Fine, I would look forward to it". Shadrach said after he had gone.

He knew that he was never going to make him pay because, there was no way he could, sooner or later he would be his boss and there was no way he could make him pay.

The president on seeing Cara decided to move closer to her with a smile not to greet her but he wanted to check who the new owner was and what type of person was the new owner.

On getting close to Cara he immediately used his eyes to search through the car but he couldn't find anybody.

" Where is the new owner?" he asked boldly.

He then called upon all the top management to move closer to greet Cara. They moved closer to greet her and they also used this as an opportunity to check who the new owner was but, they could not find anybody.

" Huh, where is the new owner," he asked Cara boldly.

Cara sighting Shadrach immediately replied to him.

" He had arrived a long time ."
