Turned the billionaire overnight

Chapter 9

    Everyone was surprised because they didn't see anyone new at the spot they were. They began searching the whole area, but, there was no sign of a new living thing and they could not see the new owner. They looked around in search of him but didn't see anyone.

" Where is the new owner, 'cause, nobody seems new to us, or, has anyone seen the new owner?" The president asked.

" No" they all chorused

     Cara immediately looked in the direction of  Shadrach to know his intentions, maybe, he would like to introduce himself to them. Pointing her fingers from his direction of him to the direction of the top management at the company as a sign to ask maybe he would like to introduce himself.

Shadrach only shook his head as a signal of No for now. But, only pointing his hands toward the president.

Cara immediately understood what that meant and thought of what to say to them.

" The new boss doesn't want to be high profile, so he would only like to see the president" she spoke on Shadrach's behalf.

" Only the president," one of them said.

" Why only the president? We are all here for him" one of them said

" Well..., it kinda complicated and even, that was what he requested" she gave an answer to their questions like someone who had already downloaded all his answers.

" Does that means that he does not want to see us?" another asked.

She was already getting uneasy by their questions and, only picked up perfect questions.

" You will get to know him very soon" she answered sharply.

" Soon, we thought you said the new owner would arrive with you," one of them said.

" Yes, but the schedule changed and he has arrived already.

" You said he had arrived but, why haven't we seen him yet?" One of them asked again.

" Well, as I said earlier, you would see him very soon" she answered.

" And, no more questions" she added because she was already getting tired of their questions.

     They felt disappointed, they had done this so that they could flutter the new boss to take some advantage. Just like they had done to the old boss and they knew the advantage they enjoyed when they did something like this for the old boss.

" Alright, that's all for today all of you could take your leave before the new boss sees you and get angry" the president ordered.

     They left disappointed because they never expected something like this would occur and they also wished it never occurred. But, what could they do, it had already happened but they were all still disappointed because things didn't go as planned.

" Well, since they had left would you tell me where the new owner was?" He asked.

"Relax, he would get here soon" she answered him.

He was already feeling uneasy as different thoughts ran through him.

" What if, it was a punishment for him, maybe he had done something wrong to the new owner and the new owner had already decided to punish him alone," he thought.

" What if I am getting demoted or what if I am about to lose my job," he thought and continued to think within himself.

" God, I pray it not a punishment" he prayed.

     At that time, Shadrach stood up immediately after he saw them leave, and he quickly joined Cara and the president. Immediately the president saw him, he became unhappy because, because he doesn't accept a low-class delivery man moving closer to him. He saw them as people who were not in his class and people who are dirty and him moving closer to him, this made him furious and this also made his face change. He was about to chase Shadrach away with his face frowning. But, Cara only smiled at Shadrach and the whole situation and said,

" You came earlier than I expected boss".

" Boss!" The president screamed who was she referring to as boss" he looked around.

" Please, where is the boss, I would like to meet him because we made all this preparation for him," he said anxiously.

" He is right here, standing in front of us" she answered.

" Who, him, am sorry I think you are mistaken he is just a delivery man and how is he the boss?" he asked waiting for a reply.

But Cara only kept mute and this made him furious and fire back.

" Could we be more serious here and you, pointing at Shadrach leave at once before I get angry I don't want the boss to see you, 'cause, I don't want him to see you here,e and am not ready to lose my job" he ordered him.

" Are you stupid or something?" Cara said irritatingly.

" He is the boss, and he standing in front of you" Cara simply said.

The president was shocked, that he almost sat on the ground, he immediately began to recall if he had done anything bad to Shadrach.

     " If I had done something bad, that means, I have dug my own grave myself because I might lose my job for my mistakes," he thought to himself.

He used to be a guy like Shadrach before he became the president of a delivery company and he was not ready to go back to the way he was before. He began to plead to Shadrach.

Instead of Shadrach getting angry, cause, he has every right to be angry, he only smiled and said,

" I would like you to do me a favor, and I would be glad if you do so, maybe that way, I could just forgive you"

" forgive me, I am ready to do anything for you. Just ask for whatever you want I am ready for any task you want to give me" the president answered sharply

" I don't want to let everyone know about my identity, so can I just work as a manager here for some time, so I could know how the company works?" He asked.
