CHAPTER 05.MEETING HIS EX WIFE

However, when Harry rushed down the stairs, he saw a fleet of cars parked outside the house they had just left. Harry stopped in his tracks, bewildered about which car was his.

"Where's mine?" he asked.

"All of them, young master," Pietro answered with a smile. Harry stood there, dumbfounded, struggling to digest the information. He counted in his mind, "One, two, three, four, and then five!"

"What? All of these?" Harry questioned, refusing to believe what Pietro had told him.

"Yes, young master. This is just a sneak peek of what's in your garage," Pietro replied, smiling as he opened the door of the Range Rover Sport, Harry's favorite.

Pietro signaled for Harry to get in, closed the door behind him, and took the driver's seat.

However, when they reached the L&M Hotels compound, the car came to a stop, and Harry exited immediately. He looked around the opulent surroundings, noting the lineup of exotic cars in the garage, a testament to the dignitaries present. However, something caught Harry's eye.

Harry squinted, unable to believe his eyes. He had just seen Diane. A man came out of a car and opened the door for her. She was dressed in a corporate Louis Vuitton jumpsuit, wearing a hat, sunglasses, and a scarf that partially concealed her face. Despite the disguise, Harry, who had lived with her for years, easily recognized her.

The man who opened the door for her waited for her to exit, then closed it and kissed her on the cheek, leaving Harry seething silently with anger.

"Young master, can we go inside now?" Pietro inquired, unaware of what had caught Harry's attention. However, Harry didn't reply.

"Boss, we need to go inside," Pietro repeated, but Harry scowled at him, leaving Pietro behind as he approached Diane and her new companion.

They were walking into the hotel, the man's arm around Diane's waist, when Harry approached them, with Pietro following closely.

"Diane!" Harry bellowed angrily, his fist clenched as his eyes blazed with anger.

Diane's and her lover's heads turned upon hearing Harry's voice. She stood there, wide-eyed, seemingly surprised by his presence. However, she quickly dismissed her astonishment and composed herself, pretending not to be surprised.

"How can I help you?" she asked reluctantly, as if she didn't recognize him. Her attitude caused both Harry and Pietro to roll their eyes in disgust.

"Who's this?" Harry couldn't contain himself any longer. He pointed at the man who was holding Diane's waist.

Diane turned to her lover, and they both scoffed. "Do you know him, babe?" the man asked, but Diane shook her head, denying any knowledge of Harry.

This denial further infuriated Harry, and his jaw clenched involuntarily. It was as if a volcano was about to erupt within him. Even Diane seemed surprised by the intensity of his anger, as she had never seen him this furious during their five-year marriage.

"Babe, you can go. I'll join you soon," Diane instructed her lover, who nodded, collected her Birkin bag, and departed leaving her with Harry.

Seeing how Diane's new man followed her order, Harry couldn't help but scoff, "Another plaything you can order around, huh?"

Diane rolled her eyes, pretending not to hear Harry's remarks as she took a few steps closer to him. "You still dare to show your face in Europe? And even New York? You've got some nerve."

"You should be glad you're out. It seems you don't—" she stopped and ran her hand through Harry's open chest, causing him to pull away almost immediately.

"Wow!" Diane chuckled, fixing her eyes on Harry, whose face remained devoid of any emotions.

"Unlike you, it seems you no longer love yourself as usual. The best you can do now is run far away from Europe. But look at you, poor you! You're still wandering where you can never afford to be," she remarked, turning her gaze toward the L&M mansion in front of them as her eyes scanned it and she turned majestically.

"Did you come here to find a job? Forget it already! I'll make sure you don't get it," she sneered, clicking her heels as she walked around Harry.

"Hmm, seems like you've got a helper, huh?" She furrowed her brows upon seeing Harry's attire,he was wearing a Fendi shirt and shorts then she fixed her gaze on Harry, who was equally staring at her with fiery eyes. Diane didn't mind as she moved closer to him.

"Or have you become a gigolo now? Oh, my poor baby," she mocked with a satisfied smirk before walking away. But she stopped in her tracks again.

"And just so we're clear, you don't know me! You've never seen me before! The next time you try what you just did, I'll make sure you never see the daylight again!" she added angrily before disappearing from Harry's sight. However, Harry's remarks made her stop.

"But Diane, I took the fall for the Archers. They abandoned me, and you abandoned me too. At least I deserve an explanation," Harry implored.

Pietro couldn't tolerate Diane's insults any longer and he nudged Jade with an eye roll. That alone told Jade all she needed to do.

She exited the car and walked to Harry wrapping her hands around his waist which Harry played along and held her waist equally like they were couples.

Daine rolled her eyes on seeing Jade, amazed by her unique beauty and curvaceous body she chuckled sarcastically.

"You've got someone?"

Harry didn't reply but kept mute while he fixed his intense gaze on jade like they had been lovers.

"Do you know how wretched he is?" Diane couldn't withstand it any longer and she blurted out,her voice filled with jealousy.

"Yes I know, Wretched enough to be the owner of L&M hotels," Jade fired back with a sly smirk.

Diane furrowed her brows still trying to digest what Jade had just said.Owner of what? L&M hotels? Diane swallowed her saliva refusing to believe her.

Just while they were still at it ,A young, petite woman with a slender figure walked up to Harry.

"Welcome back, young master!" She smiled, and Harry turned to Pietro, whose face lit up with a smile as he saw the shock on Harry's face.

“Hope the establishment is running fine?” Harry composed himself in front of Diane,he was still shocked from the revelation.

“Yes,Thank you for gracing us with your presence,” The petite woman smiled.

"He is the owner of L&M hotels?" Diane reiterated to be sure of what she had heard Jade say.Been a regular VIP acquaintance she knew the petite woman to be the director of L&M hotels so she needed no more confirmation.

"Yes dear,Who wouldn't love to be with such a wretched man?" Jade chuckled heartily knowing her words had an impact on Diane, she could see her knotted brows and confused looks.

Diane stood there, she could feel herself shriveled up to a dried prune feeling ashamed. She couldn't bring her eyes to meet him and without another word Diane hurried back to the vehicle she had come in with and drove out immediately.

Harry stood still, swallowing hard, trying to shake off the insults Diane had hurled at him.

"Young master, you shouldn't have approached her," Pietro said, shifting his gaze to Harry. Surprisingly, Harry was smiling, his face wearing a devilish kind of smirk before he frowned back.

"How much power, connections, and wealth do the Lucianos have?"

"Much more than all the men in Europe. But, Young master, why do you care about that?"

"Because I want to inflict my own karma on those bastards. I want them to regret they ever played me!" he growled.

"Can we go now?" Harry turned to Pietro and Jade, who were amazed by his determination.

"Sure!" Pietro roared while ushering him into the hotel.

"This way, sir, I would like to show you around. We've got something we are working on up the scaffold" one of the staff pointed toward the elevator. Harry followed her but stopped in his tracks. The memory of Jane, who fell off the scaffold in Archer's Law Firm, flooded back, along with various thoughts: What really happened to her? Who killed her? Did it have anything to do with the Archer family? The woman's voice snapped him back to the present. "This way, sir."

"I'll take the stairs," he replied, turning back to the stairs, and the lady swiftly followed him.
