CHAPTER 100.MARTIN

The early chirping of birds in Ms. Oct's garden filled the house as she slowly trimmed her flowers. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps and the scent of strong cologne snapped her out of her task, and she turned to see her son Martin. A smile graced her lips at the sight of him; she still couldn't believe he was out of prison and within her reach.

"Where are you headed?" she asked, observing his attire.

"To visit Harry," he smiled.

Ms. Oct's face quickly contorted into a frown. "What do you mean, Harry? The Luciano boy? Why on earth would you visit him?"

Martin's eyes widened at his mother's words. He had hoped she would accept Harry now that he had helped him get out of prison, but he realized he had been delusional to think so.

"Mum!" he exclaimed. "He helped me out of prison. His attorney pleaded my innocence when your aide framed me for a crime I didn't commit," he yelled, his patience wearing thin.
