Chapter4: Uger and Wolves
As Arden and company continued to stride towards the green pillar of light or according to the system, the beacon. Evnor endlessly conversed with Arden, explaining to him how amazing the Astro world was and which place he was currently located in the Evamore island, and the several clans inhabiting the Evamore island. Arden widened his eyes in amazement as soon as he heard of the various races that could be found on just one island in the whole of Astro world. "The Urcs, the Infernal demons, and the Holy falcons, I wonder just how the other races look compared to the Moon Elfs" Arden mumbled inwardly. Just when the group covered two kilometres, the ground beneath their very feet suddenly trembled greatly as if a massive earthquake was occurring. "what the hell is going on!" Arden blurted. "this tremor!, something very big and powerful must be heading our way!" Evnor exclaimed. "Such a powerful presence, I don't think we can contend with this entity" the other middle aged Elf in golden armor whispered to Micrio. "your right, brother Althev, it's mere presence gives me the sensation that it could crush me easily" "Everyone stop moving at once! We have come across a dangerous entity!" Micrio shouted out to the rest. "Ahh" The petit maid, Noiter yelped in fright and quickly stopped moving, her body shaking from fright. Seeing that Evnor and everyone stopped moving, Arden halted in between his steps, his heart pounding. Just when the ground trembled, he seemed to have sensed an enormously powerful life force emitting from an unknown presence far ahead. "boom!" "boom!" "bang!" The earth beneath Arden's and Everyone's feet trembled continuously and more intensely as the presence drew nearer. The live force he sensed from this unknown presence was so deep that he wasn't able to peer into it's depths, this realization filled Arden with a sense of terror which even he couldn't control. It was as if he were a rat who just sensed the presence of a monstrous cat. As the presence drew closer and closer, a towering creature which was almost as large as a small mountain came into Ardens and everyone's view. The enormous creature which appeared in the horizon resembled an Uger, it had four arms and a huge stature, ignoring it's wide tommy which jiggled as it walked. The creature's right hand held a massive bone club proportional to it's body and it's eyes glinted fiercely. Two curved lower canine teeth extended out of it's lips and it's wide mouth dripped with saliva. Despite its fierce eyes, it looked to be in a daze as it's lips continued drooling. "what is this monster?" "What's with that expression on it's face, is it drooling over our meat?" Arden whispered to Evnor. "That thing is an Uger, though I haven't seen one, I have heard a lot of stories about these enormous giants, it says that they are entities of great destruction when provoked" Evnor's face was solemn as she explained to him in a hushed tone. "Really?, then we must be in trouble, it's gazing at us like we are it's food, how can it be so gluttonous, we are so small that we can't even fit a hole between it's teeth." As Arden complained inwardly, the gigantic creature drew closer from the horizon. Everyone's heart pounded crazily because of fear but they still didn't dare to move in front of the gigantic Uger. Fortunately for them, the gigantic creature suddenly paused as if it had sensed something interesting, then it sniffed around with it's large nose before changing it's path and started running towards the east. As it ran, the ground trembled nonstop as if dozens of explosive were set of one after the other but Arden heaved a long sigh of relief as he watched it run into the horizon. In less than a minute, both it appearance and presence vanished into the east. Arden felt relieved that something attracted the gigantic creature's attention and lured it away. Micro exhorted to be more careful as he led the way forward. "Should we really continue?" Noiter asked shakily "Come on Noiter, don't just get scared away, at every sign of trouble, you already know to brave the dangers in order to obtain fortune" Evnor remarked as she strode forth decisively. Arden followed her without saying anything though, inwardly, he was a little hesitant to continue on this venture because of how dangerous it'll be. But even if he was afraid of meeting terrifying creatures like the gigantic monster, it still couldn't compare with Arden's fear of death at the system's hand by Electrocution. Fortunately for Arden and the rest, as they proceeded, they didn't encounter another terrifying creature like the gigantic monster. In five hours, the group covered the distance of fifty kilometres, their unique 77π~ because it had made them more cautious than before. In total, Arden and the others had covered the distance of over seventy kilometers in seven hours. They still had seventeen hours to cover the remaining thirty kilometers. Arden rejoiced because of this, reaching the beacon and completing the mission is only a matter of time for him. They covered another twenty five kilometers in three more hours, the bright pillar of green light now appeared conspicuously not too far in front of them. However, just when his heart leaped with joy and hope, he suddenly detected a large number of life force in front of him. Micro and Althev who where leading to way paused. Because of this, Arden, The Elf princess and her maid also stopped moving and became alerted. The life force or presence were being emanated from numerous creatures which were apparently in front of them. Arden and the others hid behind the trees and focused their sights, peering in front of them. What they saw was a pack of wolves in the distance. These wolves were larger than regular wolves Arden knew of in Earth. thy were about the size of an adult male lion and had two goatlike horns stretching up on their heads. As he scrutinized the wolves, Arden tried seeking his way forth only to suddenly hear a low growl coming from the underbrush. He and the others stopped in their tracks, listening intently. The growling grew louder, and they realized that they were already surrounded by the wolves. Arden and the others quicly got into a defensive stance, ready to defend themselves. They knew that these wolves were dangerous predators, and any mistake could lead to their deaths. Arden tried to remember all he knew about wolves from Earth, desiring that it would provide him an edge in the battle. The wolves emerged from the trees, snarling and bearing their teeth. There were at least twenty of them, and they were closing in on the group fast from different directions. Surprisingly, in the face of such attack, the two guards, Micrio and Althev withdraw from the frontlines and allowed Evnor, Noiter and Arden to directly face the brunt of the attack. While Arden was puzzled by their action, he saw the alluring and dainty Elf princess withdrawing her weapon, a long sword made of jade which was illuminated with radiant light. Arden was beyond shocked when he sensed Evnor's life force, her presence strongly superseded her ranking which was rank five of Celestial novice. Noiter on the other hand, who flashed out a pitch black dagger had the presence of a rank three celestial novice which suggested her to be in the same rank as Arden. Arden braced himself for the onslaught, he appeared to be unafraid of this pack of wolves. This was because unlike the gigantic creature who's level of existence and strength he couldn't fanthom relying on his life force sensing ability, he could tell that all the wolves where in level 2 of rank A or perhaps rank two Celestial Novice but regardless they where one level weaker than him. "Roar!" A beastly growl chimed as three of the wolves sprang towards Arden from different directions. Relying on his superior speed, Arden was able to react quickly to the wolves' movements. He dodged their attacks and struck back with precise and deadly blows. The wolves were taken aback by Arden's speed and agility, but it was to late for them to react, the lazonion swift blade cut through their flesh like butter and gravely injured them. Arden knew that he had to use his knowledge and skill to quickly wrap up these creatures otherwise, they might hinder him and result in him failing in his mission. As painful wails emanated from the injured wolves, Arden seized the advantage and quickly struck them while they were down. In a quick motion, he slashed at the injured wolves one after the other, delivering killing blows. The same or similar scenes played out on Evnor and Noiter's side. The princess was even swifter and deadlier than Arden, she slayed each wolf with a single strike. just like that, almost all the wolves where killed by Ardens and the two Elf girls one after the other however, right after Arden killed his last attacker, he suddenly felt a dangerous feeling behind him. He quickly turned and noticed that among the wolves, a particular wolf which was larger than the others, with a thicker coat and sharper teeths was gazing at him with a dangerous glint in it's eyes. It emitted a denser life force, highlighting it's existence which was level 3, the same level as Arden. One look at this wolf enabled Arden to realized that this was the alpha male, and that the other wolves were it minions.Chapter5: countdown "Roar!" The Alpha wolf barked an order to the remaining wolves to follow it as it took the charge to attack Arden and the girls. Micrio and Althev showed no signs of interfering, to them, it was a great chance for the princess to hone her skills. The moment in the alpha arrived, It hopped towards Arden with maximum speed, it's claws tearing into the air as it rushed towards his face. To it, Arden was most likely the weakest among the group. At the same time, the other two wolves attacked him from different angles. One beared its teeth as it aimed to gnaw on his backneck while the other wolf reached for Arden right shoulder. Evnor and Noiter where preocupied with other wolves and were unable to assist him. The beseech of the wolves left Arden with nowhere to evade. Anybody would have been sent into panic in such a situation but on the contrary, Ardens eyes had no hint of fear. A sly look appeared in his eyes as he focused his attention on the Alpha male,
Chapter6: The poisonous Serpent King I "You idiot, why did you acted so recklessly, you almost put us in trouble!" Evnor berated. "Mhhh, if you ask me my princess, we should just get rid of him, he has caused us so much trouble" "So sorry about that, I didn't mean to put you all in trouble, I just couldn't control myself" Arden remarked, a little unsure of how to put things, but he definitely couldn't tell them about the system's mission. "young man, were you so anxious because of ranking up" Micrio suddenly said out of nowhere. " I can sense that you're now in Rank four of Celestial Novice" "What talent, to be able to rank up in the midst of danger" Althev mumbled as he glanced at Arden admirably. "really, you actually ascended a rank?" Evnor remarked as she now gazed at Arden with glowing eyes. In the Astro world, Astro mages often had to be in a meditative position in order to ascend into a higher rank, this is due to the fact that Astro mages must entail a clear head to
Chapter7: The poisonous sergeant king II Arden proceeded deeper into the dark passage, as he walked further, it got gloomier and darker but he also sensed that the narrow passage was becoming wider and wider. "just where the hell is this passage leading to?" Arden mumbled as he progressed forth, his heart still pounding heavily and his eyes scanned around wearily. Though he just killed a couple of snakes which made him have more courage to face what lies ahead, his innate fear for snakes couldn't let him be at peace. "shhhhh!" Following a strange sound, a cluster of green gas appeared ahead as Arden continued trudging. "Ahh!" Arden exclaimed softly as he started at the region of the passage in front of him which was complete cliuded by the cluster of green gases. "what the hell, is this a poison miasma, looks like I have hit a dead end" Arden blurted as he halted his advance. A chill ran down his spine as he hastily turned around to retreat. However, just when he to
Chapter8: Contract Arden shivered in fright at the sight of the gigantic snake but at the same time, he wondered if it was the same snake he saw in the mural previously because the giant snake was golden in color and also had a horn in the center of it's head which made it resemble a dragon. Very much like the one in the murals. "Get back" Arden said to Evnor as he pulled her behind him while pointing the serpent suppression pole at it, he had a terrible feeling that this very snake was the poisonous serpent king which the system had warned him about. "sssssss!" The giant serpent's eye condescendingly glared at Arden, it suddenly hissed, a powerful presence which shook the whole underground system surged out of it's body. The mere sight of it's presence nearly made Arden and Evnor into a kneeling position. Both of them gritted their teeth and exerted all the strength and energy in their body to remain standing. Upon seeing that the two ants dared to resist its might, the pois
Chapter9: New World [Poison Stake Mission completed] [Host is rewarded 200xp to level up into the next level] Arden beemed at this news, and immediately, a tremendous amount of Astro energy suddenly surged from within him, clustering and huddling till it condensed into a pure and vibrant yellow Astro energy which was considered to be of a higher grade. Arden shivered in excitement as he felt the newly initiated powerful form of energy withing him. According to what he had heard from Evnor, In the rank of Astral servant, astral energy is always being condensed into a purer form whenever the Astral mage upgrade his or her strength. It seems that despite the fact that he was using a system, the same effects also happens in his body when he levels up. At this moment, Arden was no weaker than Sir Micrio. Suddenly a systems notification in which Arden was familiar with rang in his head. [by completing four missions consecutively, host has unlocked a system ability, Copy] Status
Chapter10: Bad News Fresh rays of the sun which was rising from the west brightened up the whole surrounding. The surrounding was formed by a cluster of a uniform breed of trees which had hibiscus coloured leaves. A long and narrow path stretched forth along those trees on which Arden and the others walked on, as they strode, sounds of chirping birds entered their ears from time to time. "Are we there yet?" Arden asked curiously as he surveyed his surrounding excitedly. He had asked this question for almost a dozen times on the way to the new world, Arden was just too anxious and excited to enter the so called new world which he had heard a lot about from Evnor. "No we aren't there yet, why can't you be patient, we've only reached the periphery of the jungle of carnage" Evnor remarked dispassionately. "Ok" Arden clamored but his blood was still boiling in excitement, just how many of those mystical races out there was he going to see, just how do they look compared to the moon
Chapter11: Rescue i "the situation is far worse than that, the moon Elf clan has been exterminated by the Urc clan!" "impossible!, those bastard Urcs and our Elf clan have been enemies for so many years but the overall strength of the two clan have always remain the same how can they ever be able to exterminate our Elf clan" Althev yelled hysterically, he couldn't bring himself to believe what he just heard, likewise Evnor and Noiter. Evnor and Noiter was currently shaking all over after hearing the news but couldn't utter a single word. Arden fixed a puzzled gaze at Noden trying to determine whether he was lying or not, the revelation was also a shock to him. A short moment later, Evnor cameback to her senses and stoped shaking, she suddenly asked, "How did it happen?" "As you very well know, our Moon Elf clan had formed an alliance with the Radiant Fairy Clan overseas, the clan head suddenly got a distress signal from the fairy clan that it was being attacked by a powerful
"This secret tunnel was revealed to me in the past by the prince himself, we can use this tunnel navigate around all corners of the Millenium city, the plan is to blend into the crowd and and strike unawares, kill all the guards and save them." "I agree with your plan but there's one thing I'll like to point out" Althev said solemnly. "We all know that the strength of the urc clan guards ranges from between the third stage of celestial novice to the fifth sage however, we both know that Wolder is in the third stage of Astral servant and would be two much for any of us to handle, how do we handle him" "I'll volunteer to distract him with Sir Noden" Arden suddenly said. Althev and everyone nodded except Noden who found Arden's statement suspicious. "kid do you think you have what it takes to fight an entity like Wolder?" "brother Nothen, you can rest assured Arden is strong enough to do that, he's in the second stage of Astral Servant just like you" Althev blurted. "wh
