Simon froze for three seconds. Then he turned to Alex, his eyes narrowed in annoyance.

“What did you say?”

Alex had no idea why, but he was feeling particularly bold at the moment. He shrugged.

“You have feelings for Mr. Tariq’s secretary.”

His assumptions were proven when a flicker of guilty shock flashed in Simon’s eyes. He smothered it immediately, cleared his throat and stiffened his shoulders.

“And what exactly makes you think that?”

“It’s as clear as day.” Alex replied. “Your feelings for her are as bright as a neon sign, sir.”
